| Cedar board walk covers most of the trail on the first day of hiking when coming from the Banfield end. This board walk is VERY slipery when it is wet. All four of us went airborn several times during the day. Dale went into the tulips quite a few times, and it was rathe rdifficult to hoist him back up on the boardwalk in a few places. |

| This is the first night on the trail, we camped at Darling creek. The storm is not yet at it's peak and if we thought we were wet now, we'd be in for a real surprise this time tomorow. |
