This page is just a small tribute to the Tennis family "The Maleeva's".. whose kindness and friendship has been so special over the years.. They achieved so much in Tennis and Maggie is still playing the Circuit with much success and has overcome major injury difficulties.

MANUELA:- Born February 14th 1967, Sofia Bulgaria.. now lives in Switzerland and Mother of three.. On the verge of retirement achieved a major victory defeating Martina Navratilova in Zurich 1993, eventually retiring early in 1994. Regularly appeared at the Virginia Slims Championships from 1985 - 1993. Manuela reached 3 in the world in 1985, and with numerous singles tournament wins, and also many doubles, winning a bronze medal at the Seoul Olympics, and represented Bulgaria and Switzerland in the Federation Cup.

KATERINA:-  Born May 7th 1969, Sofia Bulgaria and still lives there and Mother of two.. reached number 6 in the world in 1990, and continued to hold a top 20 place from 1987 - 1993, with twelve singles titles and a number of doubles titles, had wins over Martina Navratilova,  Arantxa Sanchez, Gabriela Sabatini, Jennifer Capriati, Jana Novotna and Anke Huber etc,. Katerina was one of the most consistent players on the circuit. Also represent Bulgaria in the Federation Cup and at the Olympics.

MAGGIE:- Born 1st April 1975 in Sofia Bulgaria, Having overcome injury problems in 1998 and 1999, has now won 8 WTA Tour singles titles, her last being Budapest in 2001, and her highest singles ranking of 4 in 1996, but now well established back in the top 20 again.
