| Shaking the Baby (continued) ....Shot of a still picture of Cameron. Narration continues. Darien (offstage narration): My annoying brother, Cameron. Hes not too bright. He means well, really. Me and Zoe often tried to ignore him, but hes pretty hard to ignore. His problem though is that hes a gay-basher. He thinks Im gay because my name is Darien. I mean, Im not, but I had a friend whos gay, and Cameron oddly enough has no idea he is. Cameron likes to think hes bigger than he really is. His father is my father, but his mother is not my mother. Werea pretty weird family. Were not a verymoral family, in terms of our past. Cameron is only a year older than me. Hed been pulled over for drunk driving after he hit someone. Ironically, the person he hit was me. I have trouble with a lot of physical things today. Im in good shape, but dont ask me to play on your team. Cameron: He starts to walk away When Cameron was in Egypt land, let my Cameron go. Camera cuts to a different house. Inside are two guys, one of which is Darien, and two girls. All of them look about the same age. They are just sitting in a room goofing around and laughing. They are just hanging out. Jenny: Camera zooms in on her. So someone asked me for my phone number today. I told him it was 867-5309, hah! Everyone laughs a bit Shot of still picture of Jenny. Darien (offstage narration): This is Jenny. She is official crazy. We all predicted she would be the first one of us to go to a mental institution. Her name is Jenny, so she liked to remind us all of Tommy Tutone, a man many of us would like to forget about, no offense to those who love Tommy Tutoneor the 80s. She has a great sense of humor, but her jokes are pretty bad. You might think that the Tommy Tutone joke was kind of funny, good for a chuckle, but what you dont know is that that is the thirteenth time shed used that joke that day, literally! But shes cool. She and Holden had a thing going on for a while. They broke up not too long after going out, on account of Holden being gay and all, but they were still really close friends. Camera goes back to shooting the group. A young man sits next to Jenny. Holden: Hey Jenny, you know I love ya, but, please, for the love of God, stop with the Tommy Tutone joke! Youve used it Tommy Too-much! The group laughs except for Jenny. Jenny, knowing hes just teasing, makes a sad pouting face, but shes not really sad. Shot of still picture of Holden. Narration continues. Darien (offstage narration): Holden was the man! I dont think youd ever have met anyone as cool as him. Hes kind of like a teenage version of Harrison Ford, who is the man also. Holden was the only one of us with a job at the time, and yet, he was the laziest! Hed been a pretty good athlete for a while; he beat me in basketball many times, but he wasnt very motivated. I remember one time, hah, he convinced me to go into the girls locker room after P.E.; after I walked in, he ran away. I had no idea he could run that fast! When I lefter, more like got kicked out, he was already on the other side of the school! Holden is pretty straight-forward, very sarcastic, and, well, just flat out funny. I think Holden might have been the only boy at age 6 to not think girls were icky. Yah, he had crushes at age 6, and oddly enough, girls had crushes on him. Kind of ironic considering it turns out hes gay now. Wed been buddies for nearly 10 years then. Cameron had no idea that Holden was gay. Well, Holden knew how to use his charm, maybe that had something to do with it. Camera pulls back out to film the group. The camera zooms in on the last unknown character. Schuyler: Ah, come on now Jamie. You could be a little polite about it! Shot of still picture of Schuyler. The narration continues. Continue.... OR Go Back To MY HOMEPAGE |
