Fifa Football 2004
Think outside of the box, or off the ball in this case
It's a hard life being a Gamecube owning football lover, and as far as these types of games go,we are not exactly spoilt for choice. So virtually, our only option lies with the Fifa boys. But does this years edition deliver.Boy,does It ever!I know what you're thinking.Whats new?whats better?whats worse? And what is all this 'Off the Ball' malarky?Lukily,I,Josh Henderson, will be here to explain It all.
First up,EA have finally realised that there are more than 20 teams in England. You now have the option to play as your beloved Grimsby,or Southend, you know, rubbish teams like that. Then there's the new 'Off the Ball' control 'gimmick',which,I'm sorry to say,may dissipoint you after It's hype. It's a pain In the ass trying to control 2 people when you've got Roy Keane running at you,all guns blazing!
Somthing that gives the years update more depth than last years edition is the improved managment department.Basically, you've got 5 years to take your team out of relagation,or If you start with a good team, challenging for the title. This Is a nice touch,as there has been a gaping hole in the department of managment Gamecube games.
The passing Is as smooth and flowing as ever, mybe even better, and the AI has been beefed up,now making It much harder to take It round clumsy defenders and score. You have to work for a goal,by spraying around the 'pigs' sack' and out-foxing the AI.At first when you play Fifa 2004,you'll end up looking like Diego Forlan,I.E. stupid! As very few people will master the game on World Class,or even Proffesional.
As for the graphics, they are everything you'd expect from an EA Sports title, slick and polished.Sometimes you'll think your'e watching the Premiership.Overall, this game is easily the best ever Fifa Football game. You'll keep coming back untill Fifa 2005.

Con's-You can beat the keeper from the same old 'sweet spots'
Pro's-Bang up to date
                                            SSX3
There's SNOW other game like It!Apart from 1080'

If you've played SSX Tricky, you will know immediatly what SSX3 Is all about.Massive stunts, huge air,and speeds that will wet your pants! The next installment of just one of EA Big's popular franchise Is back, bigger, better and more extreme (dude) than before.
The first thing you'll notice on the menu screen Is conquer the mountain mode.Basically, this consists of choosing one 'radicle' boarder from a list of many, and going streight onto the piste on top of peak 1,the beginners peak out of the other two, imaginativly named,Peak 2 and Peak 3.
You then have the opertunity to explore the peak at will, much like skating for a mission on THUG,and look for events such as race, slopstyle,or big air.If you Win any of these events, you could spend that hard earned dosh on anything from new boards,to a pumpkin head, from the local ski lodge.
If you manage to complete enough tasks on Peak 1,you can take a cable car up to the next peak.Evey course Is superbly designed and are amazingly wide, allowing lots of sneaky short cuts.If you opt to go on a big challenge,be prepared to slalom through gates,or even hit moving targets whilst going at a blinding pace.On some tracks, nature Is again'st you,and anything from boulders,to avalanche's can end you're race for good. The textures stay sharp throughout, and did I mention the soundtrack Is killer, featuring  bands from Basement Jaxx,to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. There's something to get everybody's head bopping. Many of you snowboarding fans will have pondered the question.Should I buy SSX3 or 1080' Avalanche.Well, having played both,Is an absolute no brainer choosing SSX3.As with every game, there are flaws and this Is no exeption. The grinding Is hit-and-miss,and the turning seems too heavy. All In all, this Isn't enough to stop you from buying the greatest extreame sports title ever.
