| Timesplitters has finally made It to the Gamecube with a crash, bang, wallop. This first-person-shooter has really pulled one out of the hat.Playing the game will make you feel like time has speed up,making me miss dinner, which thoroughly annoyed me,but I'll let the game off as It is a joy to play. The storline is great, taking you back in time to The wild West (which is my personal favourite) or even to the future in the Neo Tokyo level. Even the multiplayer is genius, with co-op missions,or all out 4-player wars. The missions include classics such as capture the bag,or new modes, like monkey deathmatch.(monkeys help out the loser)During the story mode, you'll play as a character corosponding to the time era you're in.Such as a cowboy with twin revolvers in the Wild West level. If you beat the level, the character is your's to play as In the multiplayer mode. After the vast amount of things going on In Timesplitters, there is a neat little Map-Maker option. After I figured out how to use It,It was sweet, which took a while. Now lets take a look at the weapons, and this Is where the game exels. The guns are from past, present and future, ranging from sci-fi handguns,to old classics like the Sniper Rifle or shotgun, and plenty more to unlock, like the brick. You heard. My friend and I also had fun playing through the co-op story mode. The story doesn't last long, but luckily, there are 3 difficulty settings.Once you've finished here, you can once again, return to the multiplayer option.Since each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, this makes for some classic moments.Overall, this game is near perfect in every department. It's got It all.Although It's quite old,It will still bring you fun time and again.Forget that garbage about Goldeneye being unbeatable.I'm sick of that. 94% By Ed Canham |

| Super Monkey Ball 2 Roll On Monkey Ball 3! When I first got my copy of Super Monkey Ball 2,I was unaware I would lose my social life altogether! The case should have a warning.EXTREME ADDICTIVNESS.So when I heard there was going to be a sequal to the most orignal game of the year,I cancelled all social arrangements.I wasn't dissapointed, and you shouldn't be either. For those of you wandering what the hell monkeys are doing In enormous ball, basically you must manipulate a maze,to guide you're fury chum to the goal at the end of the level, before time runs out.On some levels, you will need the skill and reflexes of a ninja to not fall off the edge. This time around,as well as challenge mode, there Is a neat littlestory mode, which consists of 10 worlds. When completed,a marvellous cutscene of Ai Ai and co is your reward. One minor critisism of the game Is that some levels rely more on luck than skill. For Instance, sometimes you will drop off the end of the level and land on the goal.Other times you will land no where near It.The graphics are similier to the last version, albeit slightly sharper, but we still see the 'checker board' levels. Anyone who has played SMB1 knows that the multiplayer Is an absolute blast with 3 other mates. This Is the reason there are 4 controller ports In your Gamecube. There are 6 games, and six totally new ones.Monkey Race Is similer to the orignal one,but with brand new tracks and power-ups,making It one of the best party games on the disk.Monkey target has also had a facelift, meaning you and 3 other's can fly simultanesly.Monkey fight has only 3 arena's,but includes hazards, such as a crumbling floor, and monkey bowling Is also a firm favourite, with It's crazy lanes and snaking surfaces.I could go on about the other 8 party games, but there Isn't enough room on the screen. SMB2 puts other sequals to shame, and Is the best party game on the cube, even beating the fading Mario Party. If you like the first Monkey ball, get this.If you haven't played this game.Get this.If you have a passion for monkeys rolling around In balls, get this.Right,no more balls jokes. 91% by Josh Henderson |
