Simmerset Residents Celebrate Simmerville Web Milestone
Simmerset Mayor, Betty Mackenzie held a party for community residents at her home at No. 4 Simmerset Road commemorating the 100,000 page views by Simmerville Web.  The party was attended by many residents, including some new faces from the area that was recently incorporated into the community in October.  Many residents took the opportunity to greet their neighbors and get to know them better.  A good time was had by all, and Drew Carey arrived at the party which created quite a stir among the party-goers.
The Mackenzies also took this opportunity to introduce their friends to their son Patrick who seems like a very bright and creative lad.

Double Wedding For Simmerset's Martins
George Phillip Martin, 21 married Nickie McTavish, 23 in her home on November 27, 2002.  The bride wore a white gown, and the groom wore a traditional kilt for the ceremony as he married into the McTavish clan.  In traditional Simmish custom, George Phillip takes on his wife's name since the wedding took place in her household.  Nickie McTavish moved into the community last summer from the distant community of Simkeep with her sister Molly.  It has been well known that George Phillip has been smitten by the young lady, but their marriage came as a surprise to Simmerset residents.
George Phillip works as a veterinarian in Sim City where he maintains an office with his brother. He is also the spokesman for the community for SUN at Simmerville Web.  Nickie is currently a feature star on Simmerset TV.

The following morning in the Martin home with his sister serving as maid of honor, Robert Tysen Martin, 22 married Molly McTavish, also 22 in a ceremony at the Martin home.  Their wedding took place outdoors amid a beautiful backdrop of flowers.  Mayor Betty Mackenzie held a reception for the family and friends of both couples the afternoon of November 28th at her residence at No. 4 Simmerset Drive.  There was cake, dancing, and music which included the Bob Dylan version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" as well as traditional bagpipe music which was especially enjoyed by the McTavish sisters.
