April 19 - Today is a very busy day for Nickie and myself. We got ready in the morning to attend my grandmother's wedding to Adrian Baker, a fine older gentleman she met on one of her trips downtown a month ago. They share so many interests and are so much in love that I know they will be very happy together. After the wedding party held at the Baker home, Nickie and I returned home to say goodbye to family and friends in Simmerset. It was a very bittersweet time since we will be parted from them for the next two months, but we are both excited in looking forward to the great adventure we are embarking on tonight.

We wondered whether or not to take our dogs with us, because they would be welcome in many neighborhoods, but since there is an obscure ordinance in Simmerset which allows the adoption of pets already living with a family, we thought it best if we took Grandma's suggestion and let the dogs move in with her. This would allow us the freedom to travel to hoods that have restrictions on pet ownership. |

We left our home in early evening,
and flew on SimmersetAir which touched down briefly in an adjacent unpopulated area of the community where we were able to unload excess baggage before embarking on our travels. Our first stop was in a very new Sim Community that is not yet a member of SUN. They are an old-fashioned Spanish language neighborhood that has not expanded. We stayed there for a few hours where we met with Miguel Soltero, their neighborhood spokesman. AeroHacienda then routed us back to Simmerset where we immediately took SimmersetAir to Mayfair Plaza for the wedding of Natalija Kosminski and Cletus Jones. |

April 20 - Nickie and I have arrived in Mayfair Plaza and went thru customs. We have moved into the house where we will be staying during our visit. The residents of Mayfair Plaza are very friendly and hospitable. The whole community is getting prepared for the big wedding on Tuesday. I am spending a quiet day at the Sunflower Cottage, our lovely holiday home in the neighborhood.
In the photo to the right you might notice me on the second floor balcony standing next to the fabulous hot tub. Simmerset residents will remember how fond I am of a good soak in a hot tub. We also have a swimming pool. Nickie is happy to have some down time after our long trip. We are expecting a visit from neighbors in Mayfair Plaza later on this evening. |

Erica Blake, the spokesperson for Mayfair Plaza stopped by to see us on Sunday evening to welcome us to the community. She stayed and tolsd us many things about Mayfair Plaza, including some of the best restaurants and nightclubs that we might want to visit during our stay. What a wonderful surprise when Natalija Kosminski and Cletus Jones also came by. They were so busy getting ready for their wedding but found the time to come by and socialize. We found out that we shared common interests in many things and had a wonderful conversation. We also met some other neighbors that evening, and Nickie found out about this wonderful shop downtown where she could buy a new gown especially for the wedding. I would be able to get a new tux for the occassion, too. So after a very wonderful evening, Nickie and I bid goodbye to our new found friends and retired for the night. |

April 21 - Well, we got up bright and early this morning and fixed breakfast before calling a cab to go downtown. We had heard that Mayfair Plaza had wonderful designer shops and sure enough, it wasn't too long before Nickie found a beautiful navy blue sequenced gown. I thought she looked so exquisitely beautiful. It was the perfect gown for Nickie. A perfect gown for a fabulous wedding. We knew when we met Natalja and Cletus last night that they are very much in love. Their love for each other which was expressed first on the dating board on Simmerville Web, has inspired many Sims all over the world. Nickie and I scarcely dreamed a few short weeks ago that we would actually be here to witness the celebration of their marriage. |
