Health Cookies
3 Grated Carrots
1 Grated Apple
4 Handfuls Alfalfa hay
1/8 Cup Apple Elite Electrolytes (Farnam)
1/4 Cup Psyllium
1/2 Cup Biotin Plus (Paragon)
1 Handful Bran
1/4 Molasses
1/4 Cup Corn Oil
1/2 Cup Water

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Coat two cookie sheets with the 1/4 cup corn oil.  Mix all other ingredients in a bowl, saving the water until last, and adding only enough to form a thing, pasty mixture.  Hand-shape the dough into golf-ball sized pieces, and place them on the cookie sheets, leaving about an inch between each ball.  Bake 40 minutes. Tip: Store the cookies in an airtight container to prevent them from molding.
Crunchy Horse Treats
4 Cups wheat flour
3 Cups oatmeal
1 Egg
4 Tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 Cup applesauce
4 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 Cup molasses
1 Cup hot water

    Preheat oven to 300 degrees F and grease a baking sheet.  Mix oatmeal, flour, and brown sugar together, then mix in egg, vegetable oil, applesauce, and molasses.  Add hot water and mix well.  Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a floured surface.  Cut out shapes using cookie cutters (or cut into 1-by-1 inch squares).  Place cookies on baking sheet, and bake 1 hour.  Turn the oven off and leave the door closed until there cool-this will make them crunchy.
