WHO THE *** IS GALITH? |

Ok, let me introduce myself. Long long long time ago, I was born at the very first day of September. At ten past seven in the evening to be exact, in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.. Interesting or what? Having a mum, a dad (oh, really?!) and two sisters, Irith and Yael. After a short time stay I moved from the hospital to a little village called Overasselt. Here i lived for about two years, so there' s not much i can remember from that time.

For now I am living in Capelle aan den IJssel, a pretty boring, or let's just say very boring place near Rotterdam. Of course there is such a thing called school, where even I had to go to as well. Starting with de Ark, going to Beth Sefer Edgar I ended up at a Montessori School in Nieuwerkerk, another even more boring village.

After these primary schools it was finally time for the bigger work, highschool. Starting at de Glopper. This time I didn't change schools, but the school changed names...so I graduated from het IJsselcollege. My subjects were Dutch, English, French, German, history, economics, biology, maths A and maths B.

|
Now we are talking in the year 1998. Time to go to university! At Erasmus University, Rotterdam, I studied sociology, graduated (click to see a pic of me just graduated) in 2002 with a dissertation about fans of K's Choice, Destiny's Child and Frans Bauer and their social identity. Got an 8 for the dissertation. :-)

Right after graduating from university i went to university again this time at Leiden University, Iclon, for a year, to become a teacher in social sciences. See pictures: here! (graduation 26-09-2003) Well, studying is a big word in this case. As a part of this year I taught at Rotterdam Montessori Lyceum for a few months and at Thorbecke Lyceum Rotterdam. I enjoy being a teacher a lot, fortunately. From August 2003 I am teaching at Northgo College in Noordwijk! I teach social sciences, history and history of the worldreligions....My first real job!

Apart from all this school stuff I also find the time to enjoy other parts of life than just school or work. |

|
In the last year of primary school I started doing theatre. Ever since I seem to be addicted! For quite some years i played at Hofplein, for example in "De droom van Mozart" (see pic, or better..not!) From October 2002 I played at KRT, in May 2003 we played Great expectations, in a little theatre called "Het Kapelletje" in Rotterdam. Unfortunately i dont have time for theatre these days. |

For my passion for music I would like to send you to the music section of this site. I actually try to play some guitar...but maybe I' d better not even name that. |

Another something I enjoy is travelling and getting to know other cultures. I didn't see that much of the world yet, but countries like Israel, USA, Romania and almost every other country of Europe I have been. Here some more information about the countries I went to. |

Also i like to spend some time with friends and not to forget my sisters and their kids: Lilach, Gidon, Adan, Gidon and Michal. |
