Surely HE has borne our Griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5
Is healing still available from God today? Is it something everyone will receive? Am I not healed because of sin in my life? Must I suffer like this with no relief? Where is God in the trials and suffering of my life? All valid questions, and today I am telling you my friends, Yes, God is still a God of miracles. None of us ever merit His salvation, or His healing, but it is through His mercy, and compassion that we receive it. The operative word, being receive. We must believe and receive, and we must be right before Him, obedient and pure of spirit. It is something we should seek with all our heart, if our heart feels led in this direction. I do believe as any good Father, our Father does not want to see us suffer, and He died not only to take away our sins, but to take away our illnesses. As these days in our present world progress, there is an increasing number of diseases, pestilences, illnesses and viruses. Many have no cure. Doctor's for all the wisdom and education they have, can often only treat the symptoms. It can be a discouraging and long road when we are afflicted with a disease. I have seen immediate healings in my lifetime.. and I have seen times, when the power of God fell so heavily in the room, the entire atmosphere changed. It was in an atmosphere of deep prayer and longing for the presence of God, and the humbling of our hearts that we found God in our midst in a powerful healing presence. It was a time of praising His Holy name, and worshipping Him, and confessing our wrongs to Him, it was a time of seeking Him fully, and leaving ourselves at His feet. I think that many of us today, not only believe we are not worthy, we also never truly believe it is possible. WE believe we are given a certain path and must learn to come to terms with it. Yes in a way this is true..there are many things we are going to face in life, that are tragic, hard and sometimes disastrous, and we truly must learn to come to terms with it. But never alone! We have a heavenly Father with us on this journey, that said He would never leave us nor forsake us. He has many promises to provide us with hope and assurance of His care. We shall never be worthy, but we are loved, and His mercy and grace provided to us are what brings healing, and restoration and salvation. His work contains the secrets of healing, and the secrets of dwelling in His presence until we find release from our burdens.
My son, give attention to my words, for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:22 Who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3
He is the great Healer, the Great I Am, I Am whatever you need. Why then are we not seeing this in our lives? Why are we suffering thus? Why has life become so hard? Because the sin in the world is increasing, just as God said it would in the last days, and the afflictions that would come in these times were perilous. And people's hearts would become cold as they left the concepts, and teachings of God behind, and sought their own selfish pursuits. But there is a way out..a change can be made. But..... Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord God delivereth Him out of them all. Psalm 34:19 Why are we not seeing this in our lives?
Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord. Lamentations 3:40 For the Lord wil not cast off forever, though He causes grief, yet He will show compassion according to the multitude of His mercies, For He does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men. Lamentations 3:31-33
I do believe with all my heart we are not spending enough time in His presence, we are not praising His Name enough, we are not following all of His commandments and words, we are indeed only partially surrendered to God. WE have been holding out on almighty God. How then can we reap all of His benefits, if we do not know what they are, and do not seek them, and pursue them with all our hearts and spirit, till we poured out before His throne, broken, willing, surrendered, seeking, totally His. A poured out offering to the King of Kings. When is the last time you sought Jesus with all your heart, pouring yourself out as a sacrifice in prayer and praise to Him, till you felt release from your burdens and cares? Not getting up from your knees till you knew the answer was coming? This is why we are not seeing power and healings like we should in this generation. Because we are not seeking God first. WE are not pursuing Him with a passion and a desire, and praise and obedience that He has called for. We must spend time with Him to see the results in our lives, and there is no holding back. We must surrender, and walk the path He has chosen, and we will find that path, fulfilling and sweet, because the obedience of our heart brings us peace.
If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who HEALS you. Exodus 15:26 But to you who fear My name, the Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings, and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. Malachi 4:2
Fat in the blessings and riches of the kingdom of God, fat with healing and abundance of blessings, because of the obedience of our hearts. Because we opened up and prayed with all our heart and spirit, pursuing God, relentlessly, passionaltely, urgently, pressing on in prayer, and telling Him our heart, reminding Him of His word, following His commandments, surrendering our lives to His, confessing all sins, and seeking Him first daily.
Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily. And your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Isaiah 58:8
My friend, I ask you with all my heart tonite. Are you seeking God with all you have within you? Have you put Him first in your life? Are you filling your spirit with His word daily, and speaking that word out loud to Him, and to others that you meet? Are you pursuing Godly things in your life? Are you taking time to praise God? For God inhabits the praise of His people. How long since you pursued Him in prayer till you felt an answer. I tell you if you do this, you will see power in your life, you will see healings for yourself and others, because we need to be about the business of God. Not the business of Men. We need to put Him first, and seek His face till the world fades away, and our face towards Him, willing, obedient, precious in His sight, because we are truly His. Into His protection, provision, power and hope. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.. Only through reading His word, and anguishing, and pursuing, and believing in prayer, and being obedient will we find deliverance and the life of miracles promised to those few followers who truly learned to be "followers" or disciples of Jesus. Have you put Him first my friend?
Now, Lord, grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your words, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your Holy Servant Jesus! Acts 4:29-30
Hallelujah, Praise His wonderful Name. He alone is worthy of praise. His mercies are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness, Oh Lord, my strength and My redeemer. I give myself to you fully today, seeking those things which are above, and leaving behind worldly pursuits and sins, placing myself in Your hands, and receiving all you have for me to do. Raise up within me righteous behaviour and let me minister in the gifts of the spirit, and may people be restored, healed, strengthened, renewed, revived and not found wanting in Your presence. Because You alone are powerful and almighty. Thy face Lord I seek.
