| Chapter Fifty To be born and gradually die. Three out of ten form the components of life, three out of ten form the components of death, yet three out of ten are deliberate actions that lead to death! You may ask why is this so? This is because Man strives too much just to be alive! We have all heard that the man who knows true preservation of life, walks everywhere and does not encounter any angry buffalo or tiger, enters the army and does not require any armour; Meets an angry buffalo and it does not know how to gore him, meets a tiger and it does not know how to claw him, meets enemies in battle yet they do not know how to hurt him with weapons. You may ask why is this so? This is because he has no vulnerable death-spot on him. (Heng: The Man of Dao is One with naturalness. He does not protect himself and so he is invincible.) |
