| Chapter Fourty Nine The Enlightened has no fixed heart, because with the common people he shapes his heart. In response to the good, I treat with goodliness; In response to the bad, I also treat with empathy; such is Karma of Goodness. In response to the trustworthy, I treat with trust; In response to the untrustworthy, I also listen to his side of story; such is Karma of Trust. The Enlightened dwells in the worldliness, encompasses the mundane and empties his heart, knows what the people speaks and what the people does, empathizes as though he is a naive child. |
