| Chapter Thirty Four The great Dao is all-encompassing, can flow to the Left or Right orientations. (Heng: Example: Good or Evil. Hence Evil is also a form of Dao) All myriad things holding it enables procreation and does not deviate, similarly it enables one to achieve great accomplishments by not claiming any name. Use it like the clothes that one is wearing which does not claim for itself, [with no personal desires] one can achieve small accomplishments; Use it to rule over the myriad things and do not claim legitimized rulership, one can achieve great accomplishments. Utilize the Dao as a means towards the goal and not to glorify the self, one can define the right direction and finally achieve greatness. |
