| It's All Fated... Well you expected as much again, dont you? As it turned out, the matches fought between our Houses were tough and intense indeed. As if by fate once again, both of our Houses representatives were equally matched in their overall skills. As a result, my House managed to win two places and Weishun's House managed to win two places too. That is the crescendo of the competition for none of us could have an advantage over the other for the time being. So there could only be one conclusion: only the winner in the finals could could decide who would win the ultimate glory for two places: both the Weiqi Champion and the overall House Category as well... And now there were only me and Weishun left who had not lost a single match and were about to go into the finals. So only WE and we alone could decide who would win in this ultimate battle for the double glories. ONE OF US had to win the finals somehow but definitely NOT BOTH. The two nemesis has finally met.... ----- What happened during the final match? Who was the Ultimate Winner? Please click: NEXT... |
| Chapter Six: The Ultimate Weiqi Match The Great Battle As seeded players, me and Weishun were picked by the organizer to play each other last in the competition - so as to eliminate the weaker players in the process and to provide more suspense throughout the competition. Nevertheless, we also have to eliminate all the players first to reach the finals. For me personally, the first few rounds of battle were not smooth-sailing at all. They were filled with hiccups and difficulties but I was not called a top player for nothing. The opponents were strong but my experience and high level of play managed to keep me in top position without losing a single match. Soon I successfully secured a spot in the finals. But so has Weishun... He was after all, my most dangerous enemy in Weiqi. But that was expected of us and hence this was not the point. The point is, which House would eventually win the House Category of the match? If three House representatives (including us) could win their matches, the House Group would have won the Weiqi Competition. For the time being, me and Weishun had already done our part to win our games. The rest now depended on our comrades' overall performance in the competition. |
