| The Nemesis Battle It is common knowledge that there is time limit restricting the amount of time you could use in making your moves. Exceeding the time limit means auto-disqualification. As a result, me and Weishun were very edgy in the final conflict. Each of our move was carefully selected and in response to the experiences of many previous battles fought in the past. We knew each others style of play very well and we could round each other up if either one of us made just a small mistake. Although perhaps unintelligible to the audience, each move made by us always bore the intention to counter the others style. |
| My Mistake And I made the mistake of being too careful. I had given too much thought to each move and upon reaching the end, my time was almost up. Weishun, on the other hand, was known for his quick decisions on the battlefield. He could make subsequent good moves and yet took much less time than I. Soon it was obvious that I could not cover more territory than him due to my over-cautiousness. He would win this match if this continued. I got extremely tensed at this crucial moment. So instead of continuing, I tried changing strategy and made several risky moves to free extra time. But in the process, I made another mistake in my haste to conquer more territories. Weishun noticed it immediately and hence counter-attacked on my weak point. He made a few moves in an attempt to round me up. Soon I was left frantically fending it off myself. Time was almost up and whoever could win this portion of the battle would have a decisive part on the outcome of the game... ----- Was that the end of me? Did Weishun finally win the game?
