With his newly made sword, he traveled to Dublin and poured through the National Library there for tomes and books on Medieval swordfighting and taught himself with those books, becoming quite the swordsman. From there he travelled to London, England to try and scratch out a living there, but found himself fighting in the underworld pits like a Gladiator of old. It was at one of these fights that Simon LaMotte, a representative from the WCD (World Class Dueling), an elite ring of swordslingers numbering 1,000 members all over the world. LaMotte polished his swordsmanship skills and then introduced him to the ring of WCD duelists, and from that point on, he's been one of the top members in that small ring. Two years he spent in the WCD fighitng his way up their laddder, before recently capturing their greatest prize...the Sponsored Champion's Belt.

He decided to take a small break and found his way into the Andorra resort where he met Colette Bauer, an aritist and a fairly engaging young woman. About a month later, while he was practicing for an upcoming duel, Colette interrupted him with an attack on her life made by a vampire named Raul. Gabriel fought off Raul with his sword (against Rauls twin Tommy sub machine guns) and Colette escaped with a cut to her throat and some heavy blood loss...but she still escaped.

As Raul revealed his true nature during the fight, Gabriel, after seeing to Colette's health, spent the next 5 days in seclusion in the Library, looking up every single text on Vampires he could, where he found somehting that piqued his interest...a mention of Angelic looking warriors in one of the legends he was reading...and has since kept looking for information on these mysterious warriors...and has recently joined their ranks after proving his worth by surving the viscious Vapulus, and by being Embraced by one Jadis Su'Nuhm.

Now that Gabriel was a member of these angelic warriors, he returned to Andorra to see his then lover, Colette, and as an end result to the passions of what he became, ended her life on accident. Shattered, he spent the next week holding and protecting her decomposing body as if it still lived until one of the other Angelis came and forced him back to reality.

In an effort to reaffirm his grip on what was really happening,and to keep his mind off of the loss of Colette, the Order sent him to New Orleans to investigate the whereabouts of another member of the Order. It turned out that the woman he was sent to find was none other than Kaleigh MacDonald, the younger sister of Iliessa, the Ductus Rector and leader of the Order. He located her in a fetish club called Miss Kitty's and rescued her from the state of slavery to which she had been placed. This gained him quite a bit of noteriety amongst the Order as he had done this while dealing with some of the oldest in the Order..and he had only been under the blood a few weeks.
