I'm looking for a temporary/contract position either teaching (English, Math, Science or Computers) or as an Avionics Engineer. I prefer to work in Asia but will consider other locations as well.
Avionics Engineer - Teacher
If you're looking for someone with 20+ years engineering experience, you've come to the right place. I've done quite a lot of systems work on avionics equipment and am quite familiar with aircraft avionics systems architecture, including DO178b, the certification process and the appropriate FAA regs. I've been personally involved in nearly all the systems work required to develop new avionics equipment and have also done some digital hardware design and software (C++, Python) design. I've been involved in testing various dual processor systems and am familiar with test systems architecture, real-time monitoring, and data capture techniques as part of the verification and validation process.
TEACHER
I've done a bit of teaching in my career (about 4 years experience) and must say I really like teaching. Especially at the university level. I've taught math, chemistry and statistics and just recently (January 2008) finished a 1 year contract teaching Business English classes in China (a great experience!!!).
