PAST EVENTS - in the
week commencing Monday 11th March - Friday 16th March 2001Employees at the Central London branches have managed to raise over £20,000 for the Leukemia trust Fund.
The 30 strong team led by Vicki Saharri and Ben Levers raised this amount by holding a sponsored walk from Big Ben in Westminster to St John's wood in London NW9 on Tuesday and by persuading the public to donate all their small change inside Collection boxes within all the branches for a duration of three months.
The Leukemia trust foundation expressed their gratitude for the cheque when presented to them by Vicki and Ben. "we are extremely grateful and will like to say a big thank you to Prêt-a-manger. This amount we can assure you will be put to good use and will make a astronomical difference to the lives that are blighted by this illness." said Jim Caldwell a spokesman for the Leukemia trust. As for the organizers, although surprised at the amount, they have been please with the response "It's been hard work, but it has been worth it in the end". commented Vicki one of the organizers.

Another free night out in Central London at one of the capitals top nightspots - The Emporium was once again enjoyed by staff at the branches in Oxford Street, Regent Street, and others including the branch at Euston On last Friday night. The fun kicked of at 9pm and lasted though to 3am.
