Pret a Manger

Announcements

Week Commencing 12th March 2001 - 17th march 2001

Congratulations to Bryan Johnson, an employee at the branch in Birmingham who has just received the employee of the year reward.  Bryan who just started over 12 months ago  says " it's come as a surprise.  It still hasn't sunk in yet."  Bryan's Supervisor James Mortimer who put him forward for the reward said yesterday "Bryan is a true asset to this shop.  He has never taken one day sick.  He is extremely popular with our customers  and since he has been here we have sold more goods then ever before.

Wedding bells are ringing for Sue Jones and John Dixon who are pleased to announce their engagement.  John and sue both 35 are senior account managers in the Accounts department at the Prêt-a-manger office in Bath.

The pair met when Sue transferred from the Newcastle branch in 1999 where she met John and as they would put it in the Movies, it was love at first sight.  "I've never met anyone like him before" gushed Sue.  "She's just terrific". John said of his future wife.

The couple (as seen photographed here for a Kodak photo competition  have decided to choose a July or August date with the location being either in Scotland - Johns homeland or in Reading where Sue lives.   It is believed that they will be inviting up to 200 Friends and relatives.

Congratulations are in place for James Cotter - a Supervisor at the Holborn branch inn the West End who has just become a father.  Wife Nicola gave birth to an 8lb baby boy this Thursday at 6.am.  Both Mother and baby are doing well.  Furthermore, the happy parents are said to be ecstatic over the birth of Michael Graham Cotter after trying for 4 years to conceive without any luck.  "We even considered adopted at one point" Michael said.  But before we went ahead with contacting Camden Social Services in relation to the aforementioned, a Christian visiting relative went to Church and prayed for us and shortly after we were given the news that Nikki is expected.  This has to be a miracle from God".   Finally as promised the pair have sent us this photo of their bundle of joy.

Introducing Michael Graham -  the new addition to the Cotter family.  James will be returning to work     with us shortly.
