I suppose the most odvious place to start is the begining. I first attended public school at Vestavia Elementary in Tuscaloosa Alabama. However, i suppose that was not the place God wanted me. I failed (or was "hailed back") my kindergarden year. My mother of course was not the most pleased woman in the world. Anyway the next year I transferred to a local Christian school called Open Door Baptist. It was here that I asked the Lord God to rescue my soul and cleanse me from the sins inherent to all men (not quit in those terms though, i was only five).
Two years later I was forced to leave open door due to finances and go back to the public school system at Vestavia. After elementary school, my parents decided to put me through home schooling. That was the worst two years of my life. I am lazy by nature and not having to get up for school made it that much worse: also I am a visual learner and homeschooling involves mostly books and very little visual. Needless to say that was not the best of my schooling carrer. One thing did happen during that time that would definatly put a twist on things.
In the seventh grade, I started band. I played the trumpet, a melodic instrument, THE INSTRUMENT OF GOD if you play the right notes. Otherwise it is more like putting an aluminum can through a paper shredder, yikes!!. Any way I kept to my practice and eventualy got better. Two years later I went back into a private school system and attended A.C.A.: American Cristian Acadamy, also in tuscaloosa. It was here that I learned a valuable lesson in life; just because a person attends a Christain school does not mean that they act in a christian manner.
My freshman year of highschool (or "freshmeat" to some of you out there) I again changed school inviroments and went back into the Public system at Tuscaloosa County High School. Here I found an intersesting mix between a secular school and a student body leading a religious persausion. I soon got the nickname "Pastor" and began to develope a "holier than thou" attitude; and that is how I spent my next four years.
Now, I am on a whole new level. In the Fall semester of 2002, I began my excursion into Higher education at
Liberty Unversity Baptist Seminary College. Here I again found a new atmosphere to breath. I quickly discovered that I was not as holy as I felt myself to be. It is amazing that no matter how good you think you are, when you walk into the precense of perfection you begin to see your nothing at all. Here at Liberty the Presence of God moves freely around the campus. His love and mercys are evident every where I turn; from the proffers, to the chancellor, and even in my closest friends (of which I have made many in the past year).I have kept with my original goal of becoming a missionary but along the way I have added a carrer in film photography with a minor in missions aviation. I am not sure if I can fullfill my goals in the time alloted to me but with Gods help I will give a good run and see what comes out of the mix.
