THE "AXE" MURDERER -- a poem by Rav`N
'Twas a quiet Tuesday night
At the mansion on Graymalkin Lane,
and the bouncing blue beast was in his lab
cooking up a twinkie slab.
Bobby Drake, the Iceman extraordinaire
was in his room playing solitaire,
when all of a sudden the silence was broken
by a fearful roar full of rage and frustration.
They dropped their tasks and jumped quick-smart
to dash down the halls towards that sound.
"What could it be?" they asked each other,
"A sentinel attack?", "An uncovered traitor?",
"Something fearsome to be sure."
They raced outside and around a corner,
towards those screams of defiance
that made them shudder.
They finally arrived at the garden shed
from whence these dreadful sounds were made.
With surprised glances towards each other,
the shed doors they ripped asunder.
And then they stood with mouths agape,
for every surface within their sight,
was covered in splinters of wood and metal.
And amongst this wreckage of unbelievable proportion,
the Wolverine danced a furious jig.
It appeared the berserker had gone insane,
for all the implements within the shed
had been torn to pieces and left for dead.
Not a scythe, a spade or even an axe
Had been spared by Logan's murderous rage.
From the mutters and mumbles and roars of anger
they pieced together his scary tale.
A bee had stung him out in the yard
and flown within to escape his wrath.
But now that bee he could not find
so everything within sight must die.
The genius beast and his precocious friend
began to back out of the shed.
The ripped doors they closed as best they could
before they broke out into gales of laughter.
The most ferocious and fearsome wolverine
was reduced to killing garden impliments
by an unassuming little bumble bee.
"An axe murderer indeed" Bobby quips,
as they head back to their abandoned tasks,
leaving the wolverine still in the shed
looking for something new to rip to shreds.
