INTRODUCTION

Twilight City is the result of an implementation of a virtual environment for MOUT research using game engines. The game engine used in this project is Unreal Engine.

Twilight City is created by modifying the game engine and adding a lot of new features into the simulation environment

Twilight City can be used as a testbed for researchers in AI, team tactics and strategies and searching algorithms.

The main development areas of the Twilight City includes qualitative physics which allows 3D objects to interact  with  the  physical  forces  in  the  virtual  environment.  Many  3D  models  of   weapons, soldiers,  vehicles  and urban objects are  created  to  enhance  the  realism  of  the  simulation.  A  set  of simulation tools work on top of the game engine to add as a simulation engine which allows researchers to easily edit the simulation properties such as speed, fire rate or health. Voice control is added into Twilight City to control some of the events. This  increases the level of interactivity between the simulation environment and the user. Mutator and modifications help to adapt the game engine into a engine suitable for MOUT simulation.

Apart from being a simulation platform, Twilight City can be played as a game too.
