Pipe &Drum
Corps
The Fort Wayne Firefighters Pipe & Drum Corps got it's start in 2001 coinciding with the 9/11 terrorist attacks on New York. After hearing that one of our own was a piper we spread the word to see who was interested in playing the bagpipes. We had several people that stepped forward to form the Pipe & Drum Corps. Since then we have added a few additional members to bring the band up to 7 pipers and 6 drummers. There are others in various stages of involvement.

The original intent was to assist the Fort Wayne Fire Department Honor Guard in paying tribute to the fallen, be they retired, active duty or line of duty. As time went on, we have received requests to honor other community servants, including police, EMS and military personnel. Our desire and intent is to bestow honor and pay homage to those who have spent their lives helping others.
