| August 21st, 2004 Venue: Hartford Civic Center City/State: Hartford, Connecticut [The PWA copyright logo appears and "Step Up" by Drowning Pool hits and the Fusion video plays. Suddenly, the firstworks begin to blast through the Civic Center.] |
| [Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are at ringside ready to call all the action for the night.] Jim Ross: King, tonight, we will finally find out the final participate in this year's King Of The Ring tournament because tonight, Vince McMahon has ordered a huge battleroyal match! Jerry Lawler: Oh yea, but what about the other huge announcment, Vince is gonna make tonight? Tonight on Jericho's HI-LITE REEL, Vince is gonna name the man to take Austin's place in the tournament! Jim Ross: Also on tonight's card, a King Of The Ring preview as Eugene takes on Eddie Guerrero. The two men will clash in the quarter finals in the King Of The Ring tournament as they will battle in tonight's main events! Battle Royal KOTR Qualifying Referee(s): Nick Patrick & Charles Robinson [Suddenly, Chris Benoit's music hits and the Crippler makes his way to the ring. As Benoit enters, "IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLL" hits the speakers and Rock begins to make his way to the ring. Soonly thereafter, "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash makes his entrance. As Kane makes his entrance next, PWA goes to a short commercial break.] [COMMERCIAL BREAK] [When PWA returns, the music of none other than "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan begins to play and Hogan makes his way to the ring. Hogan enters the ring and finally, Nick Patrick and Charles Robinson sound for the bell. The battleroyal begins and immediatly, Chrisitian is sent out by John Cena. On the other side of the ring, JBL tosses out Rey Mysterio and then Hulk Hogan elimenates JBL right afterwards. In the middle of the ring, Rock and Benoit go at it and Rock begins to get the advantage until Nash nails him from behind. Benoit and Nash then take out Rock together and toss him over the top rope. Kane then goes after Nash and the two giants square off. Kane grabs Nash by the throat and but recieves a low blow by Benoit. Nash then tosses Kane out of the ring. As Randy Orton hammers away at John Cena, Benoit comes from behind and tosses Orotn right over the top rope but Orton lands on the apron. As Benoit goes after Randy again, Nash, his own partner, clobbers him and shoots Benoit right out of the ring. Matt Hardy hammers away at Hulk Hogan but is soon sent to the outside by Randy Orton after a drop kick to the back. Cena and Hogan begin to battle it out, until Undertaker delivers a clothesline to both men sending both to the outside. Orton then gives Cena a RKO and picks up Cena and sends him out as well. The crowd goes nuts as Orton and Taker look across from each other. The two immediatly go after each other and throw lefts and rights. Orton sends Taker to the rope and goes for a clothesline but to no avail. As he turns around, Taker grabs him by the throat and gives him a huge chokeslam. As Taker picks up Orton's body to toss out of the ring, none other than Brock Lesnar hits the ring and attacks Taker. Taker and Lesnar begin throwing hands and Taker gains the advantage until another monster in Batista hits the ring and Lesnar and Batista begin the double team on Taker. Lesnar hits the F-5 and Batista hits the Batista Bomb as well. Orton then gets up and the three men send Taker to the ouside and the referees call for the bell.] Jim Ross: Oh my God, King! Jerry Lawler: That's...that's...that's Batista! Jim Ross: And Brock Lesnar! Jerry Lawler: What in the hell is going on? Jim Ross: I have no clue! [PWA slowly fades to a commercial as Orton, Brock, and Batista stand in the middle of the ring.] [CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE] |
