Tanya, upon seeing Nook leave, released Oil�s lips and cuddled up into his chest.

"Hah!� Tanya thought, �I�ve finally won�he�s mine again!�

"Tanya let go�� Oil spoke coldly. He pulled her away from him and told her to leave.

"But�Oil�� Tanya reached out for him, but Oil moved back from her, �We were meant for each other�don�t you see? And you didn�t reject my kiss�which means you still love me!� She was pleading with him.

"No Tanya�that kiss meant nothing to me, it was like kissing a cold, lifeless sculpture.� Oil spoke to her, �Besides, ask yourself who you truly love and the answer is: yourself. You don�t love anyone except for yourself, and unless you�re happy, no one else can be. I�m sorry but I can never love anyone like you ever again�I might have thought I loved you but I was just kidding myself.� From there Oil began his confession.

"You know what, subconsciously I think that it was you was using to get back at Nook.�

"What!� Tanya screamed, �Tell me it�s not true�she�s the one you were using�not me!�

"I hadn�t figured it out until now that I�ve loved her for a long time now. But because she never admitted her feelings to me�somehow unknowingly, I used you to try and make her feel jealous to see it she would come out and tell me her true feelings�but unlike you, she chose friendship, she treasured the time you two spent together and felt that it wasn�t worth destroying because of one person�� Oil felt that a weight had been lifted from his heart. �Now I know who I truly love, and that person is the woman I married.�

"NOOOOOOO!!!� Tanya screamed and started hitting Oil, �It�s not true! It�s not true! I�m the beautiful one�everyone wants me! Not her! Noooo!!!� Tanya pulled out her gun again and was aiming towards Oil.

"You bastard! Only I can use people! How dare you use me! You�ll have to die too!� Tanya fired but Oil ducked and lunged towards her and was attempting to wrestle the gun away from her. He finally pulled the gun away from a slumping Tanya, who laid on the ground weeping hysterically. Manee, upon hearing the gunshot, called for security who arrived at Oil�s office to see their boss bleeding.

Tanya looked up at Oil and started crying and talking gibberish, �Oil�love you! I hate you! Nook! Ha ha ha ahhhh!�

The guards took Tanya away to the police station while Manee called an ambulance for Oil. Oil, who was more concerned about Nook than anything else cried out for her, �Manee! Where�s Suthida! Did she get hurt?�

"Please sir, you�ll make the wound worse if you start moving around. I�m pretty sure Khun Suthida is fine, I saw her leave the building a couple of minutes ago.�

"She left?� Oil wondered why she left without saying goodbye to him, but he was relieved that she hadn�t seen anything.

"Honey what are you doing here?� Mrs. Kasemsan asked her daughter as she looked down at the luggage that came along with Nook, �What happened?�

"Mom, I�ve finally decided to go to Berkeley,� Nook gave her mom a reassuring fake smile as she pulled the luggage into the living room, �I�ve thought about it a lot and something today clicked and said that I needed to be there�it�s like there�s something calling me�so I decided I want to continue with my own life, and fulfill my own dreams.� As she talked, Nook was already climbing the stairs to go to her own room.

"Nook, dear, does Oil know?� Her mom asked, concerned about her daughter.

Nook stopped upon hearing Oil�s name, �Yeah�I told him�and he�s fine with it�� Nook lied and smiled to her mom, something she hated to do.

"Nook honey, remember what I told you on your wedding day?� Her mom asked and seeing Nook silent, she continued, �I said, always believe in the person you love. No matter how you think something might be, let him tell you how it actually is�communication is the key to a healthy relationship��

"Thanks mom�I will�� Nook smiled and rushed upstairs so that the tears would not fall in front of her mom.

Mrs. Kasemsan let out a huge sigh as she watched her daughter run up the stairs, �Nook��

"Owww�� Oil flinched as the nurse tried to clean out his wound with rubbing alcohol, �That stings!�

"Please sit still sir!� The nurse scolded him and she tried to finish her job.

"Sorry�� Oil acted like a little boy, he turned to Manee and asked, �Manee can you call home and tell Nook I�ll be late tonight?�

"I already have sir�� Manee replied promptly, �There was no one home so I left a message with Malee to give to Khun Suthida when she gets home.�

"She�s not home yet? Hmm�� Oil was wondering where she could be since she left this morning.

"Okay sir, I�m done, you can go get your medicine now.� The nurse told Oil.

"Thank you�� He jumped off the gurney and headed towards the pharmacy. Just as he was walking down the hallway, she spotted Aum coming out of the cafeteria, �Aum!�

Aum looked around to see who was calling her name and was surprised to see Oil, �Uhh�hello�� she felt uncomfortable around him since all the stuff that happened that night.

"What are you doing here?� Oil asked in a friendly tone.

"I�m here because Tao�s here�� Aum replied.

"What happened to him?� Oil spoke arrogantly.

"Tanya shot him�now he�s in surgery to get the bullet out of his back.� Aum spoke harshly in response to Oil�s arrogance.

"Tanya!?� Oil was shocked, �She tried to shoot me too!�

"What?� Oil�s answer surprised Aum, �That girl has gone crazy! So all today she�s been going around trying to kill people!�

"I guess so, I was lucky to have the bullet only graze my arm�but Tao�� Oil seemed concerned for Tao for the first time in his life, �Is he going to be okay?�

"I dunno,� Aum shrugged as she tried to drink her juice, �It�s been hours and so far no word on his condition�I just hope nothing happens to him�� Aum sighed, her eyes were swollen from crying so much, plus she had to pack soon, �Can you tell Nook he�s in here?� Aum asked politely, �Out of courtesy that we�re all friends, I think she has a right to know also.�

"Okay, I�ll tell here,� Oil sounded sincere and Aum was satisfied. He left her in the surgery waiting room as he left.

"Tanya�I can�t believe you---" Oil got cut short when his cell phone went off.

"Hello?� Oil answered.

"Hello, is this a Mr. Thana Suthikamol?� A voice answered on the other line.

"Yes, this is him, can I ask who is calling?�

"My name is Dr. Pong Parajorn from the Bangkok Mental Institute,� he paused and then continued, �We have a patient here by the name of Tanyares Ramnarong, and she claims that she is your wife. If this is true, then we need you as her only relative to come sign the necessary papers that she needs to receive care in our facility.�

"Actually, I�m not her husband, I�m just a friend that she thinks is her husband,� Oil cleared up the confusion for Dr. Pong.

"I�m terribly sorry, we figured she was making it up but we still need someone to sign release papers for us so that she can receive treatment. From our tests, she is in dire need of medical attention. Can you please be responsible, or direct us to her immediate family?�

"She has no family�� Oil hesitated, it was really late and he wanted to go home to Nook, but he didn�t want Tanya to go without medical attention, �Alrite Dr. I�ll be there as soon as I can.�

"Thank you very much sir.� Dr. Pong then hung up.

"When will all this be over?� Oil scratched his head as he climbed into his car and headed off to the mental institute.

When he finally got there, he felt bad for Tanya, she had completely lost her mind.

"She�s gotten a lot of trauma, which has caused her to block out anything coming in from the real world as she dwells in her dream world. It�s sad to see someone as young as her suffer like this�� Dr. Pong explained to Oil.

"I�ll help her out as much as I can, but I can�t promise much. She�s pretty much at a stage where she won�t want to wake up to face whatever harsh reality she�s escaped from. If it�s not too much, can you tell me what may have triggered this?� Dr. Pong asked.

"Well, she pretty much tried to shoot me and ex-boyfriend, who�s in the hospital right now. As for what might have caused her all this anguish, I believe, as harsh as it may seem, the punishment she�s received as a result of her bad behavior in trying to destroy others.� Oil told the doctor as he looked at Tanya.

"I see�a lot of our patients have similar cases such as hers. It�s not rare�� Dr. Pong continued, �I would like to thank you for taking time out to come here and deal with this, after all she�s done to you.�

"It�s okay, I figured this is the last good deed I�ll do for her.� Oil spoke and got up to leave. He took one last look at Tanya, shook his head, and left the hospital.

By the time Oil got home, it was 3:00 in the morning, and he had to wake up at 7:00 to go to work. He climbed up the stairs and was going to knock on Nook�s door but felt that it wasn�t right to disrupt her sleep so early in the morning, he then wandered into his own room and fell asleep on the bed.

"Are there any relatives here for a Somchai Khemklud?� the surgeon walked out.

"Yes�I mean�� Aum spoke up, �I mean, I�m his friend, his family isn�t here.�

"I guess, since you�re the only one� he continued, �Well, luckily we were able to retrieve the bullet and it didn�t hit any vital organs. Mr. Khemklud will recover in a few days, would you like to go visit him?�

"Yes�please� Aum was relieved Tao was going to be okay. She also hoped that Oil had told Nook that Tao was in the hospital.

"This way please�� the surgeon led Aum to Tao�s bedside, �A nurse will be coming in soon to change his bandages. And also, our visiting hours are ending soon, so please be quick. You can come visit him tomorrow also.� He left Aum and went to check up on the other patients.

"Tao�� Aum started to cry as she held his hand to her cheek, �Please be safe�� She let his hand down when the nurse came in and bid him goodnight.
