Chapter 3

Whats my task tomorrow? Sunisa asks, looking out the window.

Wellyou are to pick up my son at the airport tomorrow, Mr. Suthikamol orders.

I seeyou planned out everything already. You got me the day before your sons arrival and gave me no choice but to work for you. Youre a smart one, Mr. Suthikamol, Sunisa says under her spicy lips.

I dont want to waste money hiring someone else when Ive got someone free at the palm of my hands, Mr. Suthikamol says unkindly. You will be free to go once you have worked enough hours for me to pay up for your fathers amount.

Good. Ill wait till that day, Sunisa responds courageously.

It was already dark outside and the street lights were turn on. Traffic was still crowded, but they made their way to Mr. Suthikamols house. The maid greets them proudly outside the entrance door.

Suzie, take Miss Jett with you and get her a room, Mr. Suthikamol assigns.

Id prefer you call me Sunisa, Sunisa suggests while Mr. Suthikamol enters the mansion.

Yes, Mr. Suthikamol, the maid replies. The maid leads Sunisa into a smaller portion of the huge mansion and shows her into a room. It was nice and Sunisa loves it even though she has to share it with Suzie and her daughter, about the same age as Sunisa, Abriel. Sunisa unpacks her things and goes directly to bed because tomorrow she was to wake up at 5:30 A.M. and arrive at the airport around 6 A.M.

The next morning, Sunisa wakes up to the songs of birds and glances over at her alarm clock that she has just turned off. It was 5:37 A.M. She quickly washes her face, brushes her face, and change into a pair of tight jeans and a T-shirt. As she arrives at the gate of the mansion, there was a limo waiting for her. After she hops onto the limo, she was on her way to the airport without even knowing Mr. Suthikamols sons name.

Shoot! I dont even know his name! Sunisa shouts when they arrive at the airport. Excuse me, driverdo you know the name of Mr. Suthikamols son?

Yes, he reminded me to tell you today because he forgot to tell you that yesterday.I believe its Oil Suthikamol, the driver answers.

Thanks a whole bunch! Sunisa replies, rushing out of the limo into the building full of travelers. She looks at the info sheet and it reads that Oil should be arriving in gate A16 at 6:40 A.M. With that info memorized, she runs toward gate A16 and realizes that it was only 6:24 A.M. After a few minutes of waiting, the plane for gate A16 was announced that it has just arrived. All the people who were waiting with Sunisa cheered in excitement except for Sunisa who has no happy feelings at all. Suddenly, passengers start coming out of the gate as Sunisa tries to search for Oil. A man walks toward Sunisa and hugs her, giving her a big surprise.

Honey, Im back! the man yells in joy hugging tightly onto Sunisa while she pushes him back. Who are you?

I dont knowwho are you to hug me? Sunisa asks in embarrassment. The man realizes that his wife was behind Sunisa and he has hugged the wrong person. He apologizes and moves out of the way. While all of this was happening, Oil has already left the gate, thinking that his father has forgotten about his arrival. Augh! Where is that Oil now that the gate is empty?! Sunisa looks around and doesnt know what to do. She has never seen this Oil person before. Having no choice she walks toward the announcer. I want you to make an announcement for Oil Suthikamol to come here at the Help desk.

Sure Miss, the lady behind the desk replies. She turns on the speaker and makes the announcement. Oil Suthikamol if you have arrived, please report to the Help desk! Oil Suthikamol please report to the Help desk!

Thank you, Sunisa thanks and waits. After a few minutes a man with dark sunglasses and a suit on appears in front of her. Are you Oil Suthikamol?

Yes..No..maybe so.who are you to ask me for my identity? Oil asks coolly.

What if I say Im supposed to take you homeis that good enough? Sunisa replies, taking off her sunglasses. They start walking away.

Ukm! Ukm! You forgot something Miss, Oil says, pointing at his luggage.

Augh! Sunisa sighs and grabs his luggage. Without responding, Oil follows Sunisa toward the exit and into the limo.

When did you start working for my father? Oil asks all of a sudden.

Oh! Ummma..a month ago, Sunisa stutters out.

So what position do you take in my fathers business? Oil asks, looking out the window. A day can never be better! I cant honestly tell him that my job is to follow him around, Sunisa says to herself.

Im the entertainer or show girl in the dining room of the casino, Sunisa lies, avoiding eye contact.

Maybe I can come to listen to you sing sometimes, Oil replies with a soft smile.

Ye..eah, Sunisa responds slowly.

Sunisa, we just go straight to the mansion from here right? the driver asks as he turns the corner.

Yes, Sunisa answers.

Driver, we can take her home first. Miss, give the driver directions to your house, Oil says, turning to Sunisa for her response. Sunisa returns him with big eyes.

She lives with your family, the driver responds out of nowhere, making Sunisa feel relief.

What?! Are we getting marry? Oil asks shocked and moving rapidly away from Sunisa to be as close as possible to the window. Poor thing!! Hes already freaking out! Sunisa laughs inside.

Of course, Prince Charming! Sunisa answers, blowing fake kisses at Oil and winking. Nah! I was just kiddingGosh! Take a chill!

Good! I wasnt planning to get marry soon either, Oil replies, sliding over to Sunisa with his charming eyes. Suddenly the limo comes to a hard stop, and they both fall to the bottom. Sunisa realizes that Oil was now on top of her. Ou! Oil grins, rubbing his head.

Someone! Help me! Sunisa screams with her eyes close. She stops at Oils loud laughter.

What kind of girl are you? Oils asks still laughing.

Thethefaithful ones, Sunisa answers from the top of her head, sitting up and fixing her clothes to make sure it doesnt look strange in a way. Finally, the limo comes to a stop and Sunisa rushes out. She rapidly walks away from the limo toward the entrance gate to the small building in the back of the mansion.

Wait! Oil yells after Sunisa, making her stop in her tracks. What are going to do about my luggage?!

Thats your responsibility! Im not going to unpack your clothes for you! Sunisa shouts back and continues walking, caring less about what Oil has to say. She meets Mr. Suthikamol while entering the gate. Good day, Mr. Suthikamol. You came home early today.

I took today off. So hows my son? Mr. Suthikamol asks with his eyes lightening up.

Hes still in the driveway. Do you have a few minutes? Theres something I want to talk to you about, Sunisa replies, checking if anyones around.

I do have a few minutes before breakfast if you make it fast, Mr. Suthikamol responds, sounding very conservative.

Ill make it fast. I told Oil that I have worked for you for a month and takes the position as the show girl or entertainer in your casino. Im sorry that I lied to him but I just wasnt sure what he wants to get at. Just help me keep the secrets and if you could, make me the entertainer if you dont want him to find out about my real job, Sunisa explains with her mouth moving as fast as she could.

Lets see. That was a two minute speechId say thats pretty good for a beginner, Mr. Suthikamol replies.

Dont tell me you timed that! Sunisa says as they both burst into laughter.

Alrightthatll only be between you and me. I better get going before Mrs. Suthikamol comes running out the door, Mr. Suthikamol responds, walking out the gate. Mr. Suthikamol enters the dining room as his wife also enters.

Wheres Oil? Mr. Suthikamol asks.

He went to go change, Mrs. Suthikamol responds as she takes her seat at the table. After Mr. Suthikamol has taken his seat, Oil appears. He hugs his father then his mother.

How wasnt it son? Are you ready to take over dads business? Mr. Suthikamol asks proudly.

Oil, your fathers right. We are quite some age nowits time you take your part, Mrs. Suthikamol adds.

I understand. When do you want me to start? Oil asks, taking a sip out of his glass of juice.

What about next week? Ill get everything prepare this week, Mr. Suthikamol suggests.

Sounds good to me, Oil agrees. As soon as breakfast was over, Oil receives a phone call from Ann. She decides to come over since Oil cant leave the house because his mother wants him to have his rest.

Sunisa walks outside the flower garden having nothing to do, but the thought of her father always remains in her head. She takes a seat on the front steps of the mansion as a car stops in front of her view. A lady in a tight knee high dress steps out of the car. A turquoise purse wraps around her smooth light hand as she walks forward. Suddenly a huge smile was on her face and makes her walk even faster up the steps. When she gets to Sunisas step, she aims a kick purposely at Sunisas waist, making Sunisa fall to her side. Giggling, she continues up the steps. Sunisa swings her head back and sees that it was Oil who was on the top step. Without any reactions, Sunisa gives them her cold eyes and leaves as the lady conceitedly wraps her arms around Oils waist.

What a pose! I wouldnt take that picture! Sunisa says to herself, making fun of how the couple looked at the top of the steps. She rubs the side of her waist and enters the small kitchen in the small building. She spots Suzie at the countertop preparing a blend.

Can I help you? I have nothing to do anywaysat least not now, Sunisa replies, standing next to Suzie.

Suretake these two drinks to Oil and Ann in the living room. Then, come back to take this plate of snacks, Suzie responds busy at work.

Okay, Sunisa answers with a twisted smile. As Sunisa enters the living room, Ann was sitting in a position that shows off a large portion of her legs, but Oils eyes were inside the covers of a magazine. Sunisa slowly walks over, bends down, and places the drinks in front of them. Before Sunisa moves the tray away, Ann grabs her glass and pours it on Sunisa.

Are you the new maid? This is not the kind of drink I want! Understand!? Ann shouts into Sunisas face. Dont make this mistake next time! Out of patience and anger, Sunisa pours the other glass of blend on Ann and carries the tray away. When Oil takes notice, Sunisa was already out of the room letting Ann scream her throat out.

I dont feel like arguing today. If you want, you can change into my clothes, Oil yawns, making Ann even angrier.

Look at Me! Ugh! Arent you going to do something about it? Ann wines, wiping her tears.

You poured juice on her; she poured juice on youit sounds fair. Doesnt it? Oil asks, getting up. Ann stomps out of the room as Oil walks upstairs to his room. Sunisa returns the tray to the kitchen and quickly leaves for a shower.

Are you alright? Suzie shouts after Sunisa with concern.

Yeah, Sunisa answers. After her shower, she spends the time writing in her journal and doing her laundry. Time went by so fast that it was already 6 P.M. She decides to go and check on Suzie in the kitchen. As she enters the kitchen, Mrs. Suthikamol appears.

One of youll have to take a tray to Oil in his room. Hes too tire to come downstairs to join us, Mrs. Suthikamol assigns.

Yes, Madam, Suzie answers with respect. Sunisa, why dont you take the tray to Oil while I serve downstairs, Suzie suggests after Mrs. Suthikamol has left the area.

I dont know., Sunisa answers scratching her head, what about Abriel? Ill help you serve downstairs?

She went to her friends party tonight. Sorry, but youll have to do it, Suzie smiles.

Aw Man! Why do I always get the worse? Sunisa complains as she grabs the tray and walks out of the room. She carefully climbs the stair and walks toward Oils room. When she reaches the door, his room was dark. Wanting to warn him that it was time for dinner, Sunisa turns on the light making Oils eyes squint. He turns for a while then goes back to sleep. Should I wake you? Sunisa asks herself. She places the tray on his chest drawer and tiptoes to his bedside.
