The Animals who Obeyed the Wolf
The Duke
Better known as Cujo
"Cujo" is a loving, sweet, puppy at heart, labrador. Why his nick name became cujo, you have to ask my sister because it does not fit him.
Son of a tryst of our chocolate lab, Cujo never let his unexpected birth get to him, nor the fact that he was the sole black male to 6 blond sisters. We blame furryknight for taking the mother out on the town and introducing her to intact males. We have asked many a time why the dog did not take pictures so we knew who to ask for paternitiy $ from.  (
hee hee)
A friend to the end, there is nothing he like more than to chase the ball until he collapses. And if this was while we were on a walk, well, you can either let him lay on the side of the road while he rests or try to carry him 70+ lb body up the drive way. As long as you love him forever, he will let you do anything to him. He's  Lab, what did you expect.

As the pic below shows, he takes dress up with a smile

Lady in Waiting
Link to the the initiation phase after our move...you would never know the town was so strict
Thats Cujo there with his 6 sisters
Heres a pic of his step siblings,
Seems that the sleeping in the bowl is tradition
Some very mean doctors misdiagnosed my little puddin' saying he needed surgery for  blown acl...he had a limp after touring the town. And  month of cage rest only slightly dimineshed the effect...jogs around the lawn were uneven. So after the recheck up notes from the doc said
Must have surgery, ACl blown. We signed him right up for the following week. Anubis was due for shots and was scheduled 2 days after Cujos diagnosis, so it was figured we could talk to the doc then about the surgery. Well he said we were on his list to call...which he never did,....and the surgery showed that there was not even a fraying of the ligaments in his knee. Therefore the Surgery was unneccessary. And caused damage itself.
We decided to ignore the doctors diagnosis of Anubis needing surgery on his prostate, which the doc pointed out is rare in a dog under 2 years of age. They can redecorate their office on someone elses money.
The idea of  the vets doing their own tile work instead of hiring professionals, then prescribing surgery for 2 dogs in one week was a little suspicious.
