My name's Vanessa, and I was born on the good day of October 16, 1979. Raised in Montgomery, AL, I faced the usual trials and tribulations of the average person: dealing with acne, puberty, punks at school. I managed to survive and stay as mentally intact as a person can be.

Overall, I think I'm a fairly unique person. I've been called a jack-of-all-trades by a couple of my closest friends, and after much diligent and angsty soul searching, I'd have to agree with them. I'm not really an expert in any area because I tend to know a little bit of everything - whether it be academic subjects or music or hobbies. So yeah, I'm not the best person to ask if you want to know a particular subject in-depth, but I can usually point you to the person who can help you.

I'm pretty happy with my life. I have an awesome best friend and boyfriend in Eric, and I was blessed with good parents (something that's a bit of a rarity, apparently). I have koot animals too. My job is fun. I work as a library page. I shelf books, which is actually a lot more interesting than it may seem. Plus, I get exercise.

Now on to some favorites and stuff:

Animals: I like most animals, truthfully, but I adore koot rodents like hamsters and ferrets, spider monkeys, moo moos, and dolphins

Anime: InuYasha, DBZ, GunParade March, Mahoromatic, Cat Soup, the Utena movie

Books: Tick Tock by Dean Koontz, Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede

Cartoons: Ducktales, SpongeBob Squarepants, X-Men, Pirates of Dark Water, Johnny Bravo, Space Ghost: Coast to Coast

Colors: My most consistent favorite color is green, but I like most other colors too. I don't think there's one I hate.

Comics: X-Men, Deadpool

Food/Drink: As if you really care, but I do! Sub sammiches, pizza, milkshakes, cheesy stuff

Manga: Blade of the Immortal, Chobits, Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku, InuYasha, Dragonball

Movies: Lilo and Stitch, Aliens, Major Payne, Blast from the Past, X-Men, X2, Spider-man, Signs, Ghostbusters, 50 Dates Later, The Wedding Singer, Blade, Silver Bullet, Addams Family Values, Schwarzenegger movies

Music: Varies. The only type of music I generally avoid is country. I tend to like a little bit of everything. Rock and J-pop are the genres I listen to the most right now.

Video Games: Resident Evil 2, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, Bust-a-Move, SSX Tricky, Chocobo Racing, Tekken 3
