| The SAMC metting was called to order by SFC Canteen at 1600hrs at the 7th Trans Group Conference room. the minutes from August meeting were read and accepted. ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS Roll call of officers found the following officers present: SFC Canteen (President), SSG Mackey (Vice-President), SFC Grossman (Secretary, SFC Kruse (Treasurer) OLD BUSINESS Elected SAMC Officers for 2004: President- SFC Canteen, Derrick Vice President- SSG Mackey, William Treasury: SFC Kruse, Russell Secretary: SFC Grossman NEW BUSINESS 1. Annual dues are due 2. Sergeant Majors Association Golf Tournament 5 September 1000-1800 a. 3-5 SAMC Members to voulenteer 1. SSG Mackey 2. SFC Stone 3. SGT Waters 3. Indutcion Ceremony 17 September 2003 1500 Jacobs Theatre CSM Paul Nelson 7th Trans Group CSM is the Guest Speaker a. Practice on 16 Sept 2003 from 1000-1130 hrs Jacobs Theatre b. Practice again on 17 Sept 2003- 1330-1430 c. Narrator- SFC Kruse d. NCO Creed- SFC Howard e. SAMC President to hold awards while being presented f. Escorts of VIPs 4. T-Shirts 5. New sponsors: Pioneer Services 6. Induction Ceremony from 4 times a year to 2 times. 7. Fundraisers: a. Car wash possibly on the 27th of Sep or 4 Oct b. Sacking groceries at commissary and donations donated to ACS c. Basketball game SAMC vs. Sergeant Majors Association 8. Honorary Inductees: None 9. Marching Compition: 20 Sept 2003 at 0830. POC is SSG Byer (878-5501 ext. 225) 10. Meetings will be every second Wednesday of month unless other wise posted. No further business at hand and meeting was adjourned at 1800hrs. Next meeting will be on 15 Oct 2003 at the 7th Group Conference Room at 1500. |
