| Some have already commented that the Coastline to the north east of Meiva proper is even more disturbing in it's concentration of supernatural echoes tremors and imprints, and most of the scouting reports support this, as with any region of the Meivan Wastes it has to be investigated, more so to ascertain if it will spread, or if it's stationary, and more importantly if possible it has to be put to an end. It is no secret the wastes are expanding again, border outposts are now well within the wastes which has alarmingly expanded some ten miles across it's old border, and strange appearances of creatures that could not be explained by any known creation theory, evolution or religious tell us that we have a greatly distressing situation at hand. It is your job now to assist the investigation at the north eastern location known as Azusa Heights theres no telling what may be there waiting to step out from the shadows, however unlike other regions, this area is mostly scrub brush, with small trees a young forest if you will so you will not have to hack through dense jungle, wade through swamps or risk going up the sides of any old mountains. You are tasked with the following aspects of the Operation. -Assist in discovering the function of the machines buried under the sandy soil of Azusa heights. -Determine the best route of action regarding the High concentration of Supernatural Shards in the region. -Investigate the scout's claims of hitting 'flickers' - Note any unusual wildlife you come across and by all means attempt to capture examples. And as always be cautious, there is a lot we do not know about this crisis, but there is also a lot we have learned since the last foray of this type three years ago |

| Continuity Information Basically Azusa picks up three years later where the last Meiva RP left off, however Azusa has no time limit, in comparison. The same rules apply but certain alterations have been made to fit the advancement of time within the wastes. Plainly not a great deal more is known then was before however the researchers at Gerstadt have managed to make lighter better protective armors to counteract exposure as well as medicines to help treat those already exposed. While some strange creatures have been successfully captures there are many more that have not been, so it's possible the players will encounter a veritable freak show if they look hard enough. Some players wondered if they would en counter the Entity that called itself Ganges in Meiva and while the possibility was very slim it could have happened; In Azusa however that chance is a very very real thing, not that you would want to actually meet such a critter you might get a lot more then you ever wanted. Unlike Meiva, there is a safety net if all the players perish, when you die, you are moved back to the start of the mission, since dieing in Azusa means your stuck there, I wont say oocly what IC effect causes this but that can also be stopped IC along with a lot of other ugly side effects. The environment as a whole is deep in detail, and it pays off to look about, try to touch things and of course think, because Azusa is several big puzzles all meant to answer several big questions that everyone who was involved before was asking. The Resistance system got a overhaul while most of the earned stats from before are, kept to a degree most folks are taking a slight cut in resistance to reflect their not being in the wastes. Basically every new player is starting off with only 110, while the returning players get an even 180. the modifiers that differentiate this are if your character is a 'survivor' of the wastes in which you get 200 (new char), or 230 (returning). While there aren't many ambient effects that do damage in Azusa, there is always the risk of a storm... |
