CHAPTER 3 "She what?!" Kevin was shocked, as were the rest
of the guys in the room. "She
broke up with me." Brian stated. The guys could tell by his grim features
that he wasn’t joking. "But
why would she want to break up with you?" Nick asked his confusion
obvious, "I thought that the only thing that could separate you two was
death." "That’s
not funny Nick." Brian stated harshly. He couldn’t believe that his best
friend was being so insensitive. "She
said she needed space and that she didn’t love me anymore." "You
know that’s complete bull right?" AJ told him. "That girl loves you
more than life itself. It’s got to be something else." "AJ’s
right Bri, for once." Howie added and his best friend glared at him.
"There has got to be something else." "Is
she seeing someone else?" Kevin asked suddenly voicing his thoughts. "No
I asked her that and she told me ‘NO’. There’s something she’s not telling me.
I can feel it. Something is wrong and i intend to find out what it is." * * * * Andrea
and Hayley had just returned from the doctor’s office and stepped into the
house. "I’m
so tired."Andrea said taking a seat on the sofa and leaning back and
closing her eyes. "Maybe
you should go to bed and rest for a while." Hayley suggested sitting down
next to her. "I
can’t believe that i only have a few months to live." Andrea said softly,
her eyes still closed. "For the most." "Try
not to think about it." Hayley said touching her arm reassuringly. "How
can i not?!" Andrea cried, "I mean it’s all weird cause i’m not in
any pain or anything." "I
know . The doctor said it’s a really weird and rare disease." Hayley said.
Then a sudden thought hit her. "Maybe you should tell Brian, you know, in
case he has it too." "Nice
try Hayley, but you know that the doctor said that this was hereditary. There’s
no way Brian could have gotten this. I asked the doctor about it the day i
found out and he assured me of that so I’m not worried about Brian."
Andrea said. Heck
she had this entire thing figured out doesn’t she? "Anyway, I think i will do as you suggested and take a
nap. I feel a headache coming on." Andrea continued getting up and heading
to her room. Hayley
sighed. Why was she determined to be so tough? She knew that Andrea was
just putting up a front but inside she was really hurting. She just wished that
there were some way she could help her. |
