20 years after the events of "EarthBound," the heroes of the past are all living peaceful lives when a new squad of aliens initiate a mysterious plan, while a group of enigmatic cyborgs cause trouble of their own. However, a new generation of younger heroes, some with PSI powers, are also present to oppose these figures.

Initially, EarthBound Omega was one of the second-generation Neo- stories that disappeared after its first few chapters, but then, surprisingly enough, made a strong return and seamlessly continued its tale of legends and wandering rookies attempting to defend themselves and their planet. It has been acclaimed as one of the better second-gen Neo- stories.
