FOAO has developed several Appropriate Technology ("AT") Resource Directories covering Low Tech, Off Grid, Alternative/Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development Appropriate Technologies.  The Directories are tools for researching Problems and finding AT Solutions to implement as application Projects.

Primary Resources include the main inspirational model for village AT, the work "Gaviotas", and principle sources of AT supplies such as the Real Goods Company and The Sustainable Village.

Resource Directory 1: Primary Resources

Peace Corps Resources include access to the Peace Corps Online Library of Volunteers Training Manuals, and their massive AT Library on CD, a compendium of all the technologies they have developed worldwide over the years.

Resource Directory 3: High Tech/Advanced Technology Resources

High Tech/Advanced Technology Resources offer further opportunities, once basic needs are met by Primary and Peace Corps AT, typically focusing on Economic Development.

Resource Directory 4: African Newsgroups, Cyber Caf�s, Village Earth, Friends Of, Peace Corps Online Resources

Internet Community resources such as Newsgroups, Cyber Caf�s, Videoconferencing and "Friends Of..." organizations unlock hidden resources of the global community and truly enable us to "think globally, act locally"

Resource Directory 5: Microeconomics: Micro Enterprise, Micro Credit Resource Directory

Microeconomics typically take an entrepreneurial approach to Appropriate Technology ("AT"), often starting with initially needed village AT and proactively transforming it into a small business that provides a product or service at an affordable price-point, to a market that is soon found to be sizeable.
