This book depicts the love of nature and people by this author who worked for the United Nations and its peacekeeping operations in three troubled countries of the world.

The nineteen poems in this collection are of varied subjects. This author spent her leisure time while she was temporarily assigned to those troubled countries as Angola, Kosovo and the Republic of Georgia, to writing articles, sports news, incident reports and poems just as a brain twister.

In this book, the author talks of the various inspirations that led her to write the poems. After retirement from the United Nations, this author started to gather and compile all her poems some which are filled with emotions as a mother and as a friend; some are tributes to famous people and international personalities that have already passed on; some are delightful and pleasant; and some are of ordinary living and love of nature. Each poem tells a story and the book is very informative in relation to peacekeeping work – one that you will not put down until you reach the conclusion …. a must read book!

The Poems and Inspirations as outlined by the Author

Some writers of poems, or we call them poets, would probably agree with me that there must be something, someone, a place, a thing, an incident or a word that may trigger the mind to envision an image thereby pushing the brains to work on something. The brains may dictate some lyrics to make a song, or some rhythmic words to make a poem out of some imagination. This is my own definition of inspiration.

In this book, the poems are arranged in chronological order as to when they were written and published. At the end of my third peacekeeping mission assignment, I continued to write more poems hence the subject could vary depending on what triggered me to write.
