Although I've "done" the East Coast of Australia, I like to see different cultures and visit more exotic places, so I prefer overseas travel.
I've been to the following cities/countries, Japan,Hawaii, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam, Egypt (a dream come true), London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manilla and my favourite place on the planet, Thailand. I love Thailand so much I've been there 5 times. So what makes Thailand so great?? ; The food, the shopping and the friendly people.
I read a lot, mainly non fiction; ancient history, archaeology, and about other cultures
I do read some fiction though, again mainly historical.
My favourite authors are, Mary Renault, James A. Michener, Gary Jennings and Christian Jacques. For archaeological books/info you cant beat John Romer.
I like movies too; my current favourites are "Common Ground", "Brokenhearts Club", "Beautiful Thing"" and "Queer as folk" ( the English series), almost anything with Brendan Fraser yumm ie. "the Mummy" and "Gods & Monsters". (not one of his biggest but well worth a watch)
Musically I like 60s.70s and 80s popular music, with occasionally a touch of the classics for relaxation. I was a bit of a "Disco Dolly" or "Scene Queen" if you prefer back in the 70s, dancing and clubbing my little heart out. Now I prefer a quieter lifestyle, without the clubs and the pubs.
I have a nice little home in the inner Northern suburbs where I live with my mate, Mr. Boof D. Dog. Apart from Mr. Dog I prefer to live alone. I like to experiment in the kitchen, and love hot and spicy foods.
