Scuba Diving in Oz - Page 2
Here are a few more photos from my diving adventures.  Thesethree, are from a night dive I did in the Tweed River on Friday, May 14th 2004.  I went with James Montgomery and he took the photos with his underwater camera and it's close up kit.  It's a good one, not like the disposable ones I use  :)
This is of a hermit crab with grand ambitions....the shell is huge compared to the crab.  Both shell and crab are not much bigger than golf ball though.
This is of a pretty colourful prawn.  It has a blue body which was cool.
I finally got to see my first octopus in the wild although this one was quite small.  It was not much bigger than my hand.  I now understand though, why I was having a hard time finding any octopus.  The octopus would settle on a rock and then change colour to match it and shape itself so you couldn't really tell that it was there unless you knew beforehand that it had settled on the rock.  Tres cool!!!
