Suffer
I stood there, in disbelief, Watching as you walked away, My heart aches with grief, As the day fades away.
My heart is pounding in my chest, As tears ebb down my cheek, Our love was put to the test, And was proven to be too weak.
I turn around, and I run home, Back to the safety of my room, But I am here, all alone, Left to ponder in my gloom.
I glance around, from my bed, At our pictures on the wall, Images dance around in my head, As my heart begins to fall.
I pick up your sweater, left behind, Your sweet cologne still lingers As memories flash through my mind The sweater drops through my fingers.
I get up from my bed And I make up my mind If you turn around instead I you will not find.
You left me, with too much empty space But I will not ask you to return A smile creeps across my face As I watch all your stuff burn.
Revenge is sweet, I have not one regret Your leaving will make me tougher. I say now, so don't you forget That for this pain you will suffer.
