Tuesday, September 14, 2004

- Updated the Profiles in Quackery article. The previous article linked directly to discussions on the topic held at the servers at the now defunct Deja.com. We assumed many of the discussions were lost forever. Google.com has since revived many of the old discussion once archived by Deja, and to be on the safe side, we archived the relevant posts here at the FTMecca. Now you can read people's thoughts on the claim that the Qur'an is written in our DNA.

- Our article on Messianic Madness (The Intolerant Messiah), which questioned the historicity of the Messiah of Christianity and Islam, came just prior to the birth of a number of Islamic sites that try to argue in favor of the hsitorical Eesa Ibn Maryam based on a name game. In response to such sites, the article has been updated with a link to a segment titled Esau, Y'shua, Eesho, & Eesa. The FTMecca confronts the problems with these sorts of arguments (which, believe it or not, find their origin with our old pal Shibli Zaman).
