Stacie Orrico Stacie Orrico is a 15 year old singer from Colorado who was dicovered by Michael W. Smith (who is now her manager) while singing at a local talent show. She has a strong belief in God and you can certainly hear it in her music. Her music sounds much like mainstream artists like Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and some others. Very upbeat. Mostly Pop/Rock with a little Soft Rock put in for good measure.

P.O.D. (Payable On Death)
P.O.D. is a rapcore band that is known for having heavy music with Christian lyrics. "Southtown", "Rock the Party (Off the Hook)" "Alive", "Will You" and "Youth of the Nation" are a few popular songs that have been played on MTV, VH1, First Love, Praise TV, and other music video programs on TV; but also radio stations such as 96.5, 88.1, 88.9, and some others. The group consists of four members: Sonny(Vocal), Truby(Guitar), Traa(Bass), and Wuv(Drums, sometimes DJ station). I recommend P.O.D. if you like mainstream artists Deftones, Korn, or Rage Against the Machine. Their new CD is kinda self titled, it's called "Payable On Death". In this one, they added a bit of a reggae sound with their original rapcore style.

LaRue
LaRue is a brother/sister duo (Philip and Natalie LaRue). Youngin's at 16, and 18 yrs. old. While they both sing, he also plays acoustic guitar. They have a soft rock/acoustic sound, but it really sounds awesome. I don't know who to compare them to, but if you like softer music, or just are in the mood for something a little less hard, try LaRue. Very talented teens if you ask me.

Earthsuit
Earthsuit is weird. That's the only way I can explain them. They go from reggae to hardcore rap in seconds, but it all sounds great! I believe the band has four members. They also have a very good message in their music. They love their God and you'll know it. (if you can figure out the words) (The Earthsuit webpage is where I also got the little twirly "e") I have their CD, and it's pretty awesome! Very good talent, along with strange, but cool vocals. Their music videos are also very strange. I NOW HAVE THIER MP3 "One Time" ON MY SITE. If you like mainstream artists Insane Clown Posse, Eminem, and some others, CHECK OUT THIS CD! You'll be pleasantly suprised.

Creed
Creed is not a Christian group, but they have many songs that could be Christian. Scott Stapp (the singer and leader of the band) says that no, they are not a Christian band, but he is searching for the truth. Let's hope and pray he finds it in God. By listening to songs like "My Own Prison", "Torn", "Faceless Man", and "Higher", you can tell he is trying to find something beyond what he has, and he has some idea what he is looking for since he grew up in a Christian house with a dad who is a pastor. If you like groups like Three Doors Down, Audio Adrenaline, Bleach, or All Star United, you would like Creed a lot.

Gospel Gangstaz
Gospel Gangstaz is a rap/hip hop/r&b group that's got some really tight sounds. They range from an accapela singing of "Amazing Grace" to the ghetto sounds of "Whatcha Gonna Do" to gospel sound of "I'll Be Good". I think they would be a great alternative to Snoop Dog, Outkast, Juvenille, or De La Soul. I HIGHLY recommend getting their CD, or at least some mp3's.

DC Talk
DC Talk is an older group that started in the late 80's to early 90's. They have come out with numerous CD's, all of which have kept up with the style of music for that time. Most of their stuff is considered either hip hop, rap, or hard rock. I like them a lot, especially "Jesus Freak", "Supernatural", and "Nu Thang". They now have their individual CD's out also (Tait's "Empty", TobyMac's "Momentum", and Kevin Max's CD (I don't remember the name of it...) I think if you like U2, Oasis, Seal, Reality Check, or the Newsboys; you would definately like DC Talk.

Lil' Raskull
Lil' Raskull is a newer Christian rapper who used to also be a secular singer known as Lil' Rascal until his friend got fatally shot right next to him in a gang fight at a football game. He started thinking, and with the help of Newine (another rapper and friend of Lil' Raskull), God got a strong hold of him. Now he is a good solid Christian rapper who has a lot of talent. I'd say if you like Snoop Dog, Eminem, D12, Dr. Dre, etc. You would LOVE Lil' Raskull (and not get offended by the lyrics!)

Skillet
Skillet is a group of 4 people, they have a really cool sound, plus some alternative worship tunes for teens. Their new CD titled "Collide" has some great songs on there. They've changed their sound to more hardcore rock music, instead of just modern rock with some synth thrown in. It's really different for them, but they pull it off better then anyone else I've heard! I have "Invincible" and "Alien Youth" on CD also.

Stacie Orrico (Christmas Wish)
Stacie Orrico's Christmas CD ("Christmas Wish") is a perfect Christmas CD for teens. It's adds a little flavor to the classic Christmas tunes (plus a couple new ones, including "Christmas Wish" and "Love Came Down"). Stacie is also to come out with her sophmore CD due this Spring!

Lifehouse

Lifehouse is an awesome talented band! The lead singer's voice is somewhat like Creed's Scott Stapp (although some people tell me I sing like him too...but that beside the point) But anyway, they started out real young. The bass player when he started didn't know much English, but he knew music! They started a band originally called "Bliss" but changed to Lifehouse after they lost their guitar player and gained a new one.
Tait
Tait is like woah! Upbeat, with a little acoustics thrown in...Very talented band with a very talented singer (Michael Tait of DCTalk). Good combination for a good sound. Includes songs "Loss For Words" and "Altars". No matter what style of music you like, I suggest you check out this CD, it has something for everyone!

Pillar
Pillar is an AWESOME group! They have a similar sound to Linkin' Park, but some songs are a little harder...Their new CD titled "Fireproof" is in my opinion better than their first CD "Above" One song has KJ-52 as a special guest on it..Well, that's about all I have to say about Pillar, but I suggest you check out this cd, it's amazing!

Apologetix
Apologetix just plain ROCKS. They mostly do parodies of songs, they are often called "Christian Weird Al". From Eminem's "Real Slim Shady" they got "The Real Sin Savior", from Pink Floyd's "Brick In The Wall" they got "Kick In The Wall", from Linkin' Park's "In The End", they got "Corinthians". I can go on and on and on. Let's just say if you like music period, check this group out, they have a little bit of something for everyone.

ZAO
Ok, here's a different review...Zao is an awesome group (to me, but parents may disagree). Their secular comparison is Slipknot. They are VERY hardcore rock. Insane guitar riffs, and screaming vocals give out the Gospel message in a TOTALLY different way then most people would expect possible. They have been called satanic by some people because of their style, but I can tell you, these guys are as powerful as worship music is to some people...if you can tolerate loud sounds without taking a couple asprin, check this out...it's cool...

Switchfoot
Switchfoot is really cool. They're considered "West Coast Rock". They have a very popular sound....comparable to Three Doors Down, Creed, Lifehouse, all those styles...or, on the Christian end, 12 Stones, Kutless, etc. These guys have been around for quite a while...have numerous CD's out, but the latest one is called "Beautiful Letdown". Check them out.

Fighting Temptations (not exactly a group)
The Fighting Temptations soundtrack is really AWESOME!! It has the best mix of rap/hip-hop/gospel/r&b/soul. Featuring Beyonce, T-Bone, P-Diddy, and a few other well known names of rap and r&b, you can either pump it out on a car stereo in the ghetto, or just plain chill with softer songs. Whatever floats your boat, this CD has it. (If you like black gospel or rap or hip hop.) (Or just Beyonce's voice :p lol) Really good stuff.

Intellect
Intellect is a local rap group led by my pastor's daughter's fiance. Very talented lyricist! This is probably the best rap cd I have right now...awesome style...great lyrics, and phat loops. If u would like a copy of this cd, contact me, and I will give you his contact information. Just e-mail me!
