WELCOME TO ANOTHER PAGE FULL OF MAGICAL MOMENTS  OF RADIO HISTORY
Remember when the Mi Amigo sank in 1980, the end of a 'FREE RADIO' era.  The old wreck could take no more batterings from the North Sea, she sank on a sandbank in the Knock Deep channel.  Three years later The Ross Revenge moored near the Mi Amigo's sunken remains and beamed Radio Caroline to Europe till Nov 90.
Below are some audio highlights from an interview with Tom Anderson in 1980.  He tells of the struggle to keep Caroline afloat and the lifeboat waiting to take them off.  Listen to some of the funny remarks and memories from his life on Caroline in the late 70s.

Another chance to hear Caroline this time in 1979, quite late in the year.  She had been off for major chunks of 78/79 due to near sinkings and lack of funds.  In late 1979 there was a turn for the better and Carolines programmes became quite regular once again, her transmitting gear had been improved and her signal was much stronger than the past couple of years..
