Introduction
Finishing a basement wall is the main undertaking in completing a fined basement.  A finished a basement is an inexpensive way to increase the living area of a house.  Building an addition requires precious lot space and is generally more expensive.  The floor and ceiling are already present in a basement, decreasing the time of construction.
These instructions assume the basement has concrete walls and floor.  If the basement has moisture problems, these should be addressed before starting this project.  Windows should already be in place.  The basement should have its own electrical breaker or a breaker shared with the main house, but located in the basement.
