| As the Federation was founded by militant workers fighting a revolution against a caste of professional soldiers Free Outer Eugenia has no standing army, but is defended by a confederation of local militias. These militias are directed from the bottom up through a system of delegates and battle plans are set by an elected Junta. Free Outer Eugeinia's coastline is defended from two extensive naval complexes: Fort Sacco and Fort Vanzetti. These bases are operated by a rotating collective of militiamen and militiawomen from the various communes as well as a more permement detachment of local militia. | |||||||
