Rabindra Kumar Pal better known as Dara Singh is the son of Mihilal
Pal of village Kokara PS Dibyapua district Itawa UP. He was born on October
2 in 1962. He has an elder brother who works in the NTPC [National Thermal
Power Corporation]. He also has four sisters, who are all married. Before
coming to Orissa, he was working at Tata India in Delhi where met his
fellow co-worker Chittaranjan Das from Maliposhi in Mayurbhanj district.
Chittaranjan's elder brother Dipu Das had once come to Delhi and got in
touch with him. Then he left for Maliposhi in 1989 in search of work.
At first, he briefly assisted Rama Das (father of Chtrarajan Das and Dipu
Das in his grocery business and then he later taught hindi in the Maliposi
school as a temporary teacher. He has a first-year degree in Arts and
has also passed the 'Ratna' in Hindi.
