July 11, 2001 Amy and I leave for Houston on Wednesday with the prayers, love and inspiration of all of you. You help provide the spiritual strength to overcome all obstacles and win this most important quest. I am spiritually, emotionally, and physically strong and am ready to face every challenge head on and win. We are blessed to have all of you -- our incredible family, including the best medical team in the world at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. You have all done so much and only ask that you continue with all of your prayers and love, they have worked miracles so far and will continue to do so. This website has been set up to report on our progress to this crucial victory. It will be updated as progress continues. Please send your messages to us through this website or directly to [email protected] or [email protected]. Your connection will provide more strength each day. If there are any problems in communication, please contact Scott Stumpf. I would love to talk to everyone personally, but at this point in time I will use this site to serve this purpose. If you have any particularly important prayers, poems, books, etc. that you feel would add to our strength, please send them along. I will win, I just do not know how long it will take. Please include Dr. Lang and Dr. Pudavalli and all of the angels at M.D. Anderson in your prayers. They will be instrumental in answering ours. Amy, the children and I love all of you and will celebrate health and life for many years to come.
