| Your goal is to damage your opponent's deck to reduce it to zero cards before they can reduce your deck to zero cards. The first thing you need is a deck of your own. Each deck will have 60 cards plus 1 'Starting Character.' To be able to build an effective deck you will need to understand some of the card types and how they can help you win. |

| Starting Character: This card represents you in the dual which will take placewith an opponent. This card must be a Witch or a Wizard. Each character has special abilities which you can use through the game. Characters: You may also put Character cards into your deck and play them to be able to use their abilities. There is a maximum of 4 of any particular card in yout deck (besides lessons) Note that it takes 2 actions insteal of 1 to play a character card. (More on actions later.) Lesson Cards: Lesson cards allow you to play spells, creatures, items, and locations, and match cards. I suggest 20-25 lesson cards in your deck of 60 cards. There are 5 types of lesson cards: Care of Magical Creatures (represented by a paw print), Transfiguration (butterfly), Potions (cauldron), Charms (heart), and Quidditch (golden snitch). You may have as many Lessons of any kind you want in your deck.. Creature cards: The example at the right, Baby Dragon, is a creature you may include in your deck. To play a creature card you must have at least 1 Care of Magical Creatures Lesson in play. You must also have at least as many Lessons in play as the large number printed on the card (in this case the 3 in the upper right). The "Damage Each Turn" shows how much damage to your opponent from this creature each turn it's in play. The "Health" shows how much damage must be done to a creature to destroy it. You may have up to 4 of any creature in your deck Spell cards: To play a spell card, you must have at least 1 Lesson in play that matches the type printed on the upper left (in the case of Titillando this is a Charms lesson represented by a blue heart). You must also have at least as many Lessons in play as the large number printed on the card (in this case, the 9 in the upper left). Each spell card does something unique, so you must read the text to find what it does. After you play a spell card it is discarded immediately. You may have up to 4 of any particular spell card in your deck. Adventure cards: To play an adventure card you do not need to have lesson cards in play. Instead, adventure cards require 2 actions to play instead of just 1 (more on actions later). Adventure cards have an Effect which is either bad for your opponent or good for you. Your opponent may get rid of the adventure you played by following the instructions listed under 'To Solve'. If he or she solves the adventure, he or she receives the reward printed on the card. You may have up to 4 of any particular Adventure card in your deck. |
