Intangible benefits ¡V benefits that are difficult to measure such as improved customer satisfaction, better decision-making etc.

Tangible costs ¡V usually measured in dollars ¡V such as hardware, software, labor

Intangible costs ¡V can¡¦t be measured but can be significant ¡V such as morale of staff

  Growth

The system you want to implement must be able to keep up with the growth of the company.

  Delivery time

Perhaps the strategic plan calls for a system to be implemented within twelve months but one solution might take two years, whereas another might be able to be implemented within your limit.

  Software and hardware environment

The new technology will have to fit in with the current infrastructure. Software design for Apple may not work on PC for example.

  Support

Training, documentation, help desk support and maintenance are essential for new technology.

  Risk

Refer to the chances of success. A high risk means a greater chance of problems and possibly failure, but possible greater rewards. You need to determine the level of risk you are willing to accept and cope with.
