| ever since i got my tonsils removed i've had the excuse and time to take time-out for myself / during this time i've read copious amounts of lesbian fiction, rediscovered my love of writing, consumed as much music as my ears could handle, and allowed my mind to wander / during this time i fell in-love with many women, all of which are famous and none of which i could ever have a relationship with / my first love is Ani DiFranco and i call her the goddess / her music is very soothing and without her i don't think i would have learned or expressed as much as i have / thanks Ani! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| the evening i saw Ember Swift live and fell inlove with Lyndell Montgomery i also saw someone else who caught my attention / this was Mel Watson from the band FRUIT / all i saw was glasses and sunflower tattoos / i was transfixed by her playing / it wasn't until up to a couple of months later that i heared her sing / suffering from food poisoning my gf and i went to FRUIT's gig at the Kangaroo grounds and saw and heared FRUIT for the first time / from that day forth Mel inspired me with her amazing talent and intelligence / the song 'alameda' is my favourite / however i also connect with 'narrow' and 'love you so' / since that first gig I saw them play again while i was in Sydney / spoke to Mel as I bought some of their merchandise / and now own Mel's two albums "Inbetween" and "Vox Humana" | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
