"OK, then, Dom, I guess Ill see you tonight, our place. Bye!"
"Bye Tam. Thanx for the conversation, love. See ya tonight!"
Tamara was just letting Dom out after their conversation, and after she had invited him to come over that night with the other lads. Dom started to the other side of the road while waving to Tam, when a familiar figure came running his way.
"Hey Dom!" Orlando shouted at him passing him by.
"Hi" Dom stared at him disappearing in the girls house, let in by Tamara. Weird guy. He said he couldnt be kicked into their house at first, now he was running towards it. Oh well. Orlando was weird anyway. With a shrug, Dom went back home and started to think about what to put on tonight.
Daphne was laying on her bed with her feet up, totally lost in the book she was reading.
"I knew it was him!" she exclaimed excitedly as the door to her room opened. She didnt notice it, however. She didnt notice anything while reading, and it was her habit to make all kinds of remarks while reading. It annoys some people.
"Whatcha saying?"
Daphne turned around and sat up. "Orlando! I didnt hear you. I was talking to myself" she explained, tucking some hair behind her ears.
"Obviously. Arent you happy to see me?"
She smiled. "Sure. Why are you here?"
"To see you, silly. We still have to think of a plan to get back at Lij and Dee."
Daphne carefully placed a bookmark between the pages of her book and put it next to her bed. "Only for that?" she grinned with a cheeky smile.
Orlando grinned as well. "Not totally" he replied, walking towards the bed. He pushed her back on it and pinned her hands down. He softly kissed her. "There are also some other things I have to see to done" he continued. He started to kiss her neck. "Like that?" he asked between kisses.
"Mmm. Yeah. Im beginning to have second thoughts about that smack" she answered.
"Of course. After all I am very good in bed" Orlando bragged.
"Now Im starting to think of another one"
"Dee?" Lij asked while running a hand through her hair.
"Still me."
"Do you think Orlando and Daphne will really try to get back at us?"
"Yeah. I think so. Well at least theyre not fighting anymore. Does it worry you?"
"Well theyre taller than we are. And Orli is a broken-bone expert."
"For himself. Nah, they probably wont bother. Daphne always threathens but usually she cant be arsed. Im not worried. Im older than she is. And I can always make sure she cant get to the car anymore, which should turn her square around from vengeance-plans."
"I thought she didnt have a drivers-license" Elijah said surprised.
"She doesnt, but she always nicks the car in the middle of the night. She likes to do that. Now I come to think of it, she probably nicked yours last week."
Lij grimaced at the mention of his car. "You cant be serious" he said.
Dee gave him a glance. "Oh yes I am." She sat up. "Were all mad here" she continued seriously. "Shall we go grab a bite to eat?"
"Sounds good to me."
They both got up and got dressed (very important!). Downstairs, they only found Tamara hanging on the couch, zapping between all music channels. She gazed at them for some time as the two lovers sorted out some food and drinks in the kitchen.
"What?" Dee asked defensively, noticing Tams glances.
Her friend shrugged. "Nothing. You two looked messed" she answered. "Im trying to sort out what messed you so."
Elijah went bright red, while Dee only rolled her eyes upwards annoyed, and said:"Use your imagination. Where are the others?"
Tamara counted on her fingers. "Youre just done making out" (again, Elijah blushed furiously)" Im here, Daphne was reading, oh no, Orli just came by for her, Jenny has buried herself in blankets and self-pity, Dom just left and I guess Billy is hanging around there too. Thats all of us, isnt it? By the way, I thought wed throw a bash overhere tonight. I invited Dom and Billy already and I asked Orli when he came in. What do you think?"
"It doesnt really matter anymore, does it? You already invited everyone. Well I guess we just have to get some drinks and such. Ill go ask if Daphne goes with me" she continued, seeing Tamaras face at the thought of having to visit a shop. "But then you have to clean up the balcony. Its the perfect place."
It was, in fact. The girls had a huge, west-facing balcony, large enough for an intimate party with friends. Dee left to search Daphne, and left Lij behind with Tamara. He gave her a smile and took a sip of his coke, just as she cheerily said: "So, Lij, lets hear some juicy details!"
He almost choked on it.
Dee wanted to barge into Daphnes room, as she usually did, after all the girls had no secrets for eachother. To her surprise, she found it locked.
"Daphne?" she yelled.
Shocked by hearing her friend on the other side of the door, Daph tried to sit up, but Orlandos weight held her down.
"Yes?" she yelled back instead, frantically trying to get from underneath him, not totally trusting the lock on her door. Orlando grinned softly at her actions and kissed a bare shoulder.
"Orli!" she hissed, and he stopped, but she felt his teasing breath in her ear.
"What are you doing in there?" Dee asked. "Will you come with me to the store, Daph? Tamaras decided were throwing a party tonight."
"Of course! Orlando and I arediscussing our vengeance."
Again, Orlando grinned. "Discussing"he whispered, leading his lips down on the girls body.
"Orlando!"
"Dont start arguing again, children!" Dee shook her head. "Cmon, Daph. Ill be waiting downstairs."
The two inside heard her footsteps leading away from the room. Daphne sighed. "Youre dead annoying, you know that?" she asked the dark-haired lad, running a hand over his chest.
"I know" he mumbled, still totally engrossed with her.
She moaned softly, before pushing him away. "I have to go" she whispered in his ear. "Cmon, baby. You dont want everybody sticking their long noses in us as yet, do you?"
Orli sighed heavily. "I guess not" he replied, helping her get dressed again.
Fifteen minutes later, the two girls drove away in their old car to fetch some drinks and all.
"Can we trust Tam to clean up?" Daphne asked Dee worriedly.
"Oh hell yeah. Why not. Lij promised to help her. She was teasing him though, the poor lad."
Daphne grinned wicked. "I wonder why. After all we all love Eye-lijah a lot."
Dee frowned with a killer-look in her eyes. "Hell hate it when you call him that."
"And? Im taller than he is. And hes a gentleman so"
"That he is" Dee agreed and got a dreamy look all over her.
"Oh please" Daphne rolled her eyes. "People in love are so annoying" she muttered. "Annoyingly happy. Yuk."
Dee gave her a sideway glance. "You should try it" she told her younger friend. "Its actually very nice, you know."
"Sure, right. Cmon now, lets hear some juicy details" she quipped.
"No way. Get a love-life of your own and stop messing in with mine."
"What do you know about my love-life?" Daphne murmured.
"What?!"
"Nothing. Turn left, Dee."
"I thought I heard something new."
"No, you didnt."
"Hmm. I dont trust you."
"Do you ever?"
"Youve got a point there."
* that evening *
Tamara secretly sneaked off to the stereo to put on some other music. She wasnt very fond of Daph&Dees taste.
"Oh no Tam, not Sum 41 again" Daphne said. (Yes, I dont like them. Got a problem??-Daphne)
"Well Im not putting up with listening to this" Tamara replied.
"What are you girls doing?" Lij asked curiously.
"Sorting out CDs. Suggestion?" Daphne asked shortly.
"Lets see. How about this?" Lij held up Dees new White Stripes CD.
"Yeah, theyre cool" Tamara agreed.
"Alright, Eye-lijah, put it on" Daphne said absent-mindly.
"What?? How did you call me?"
"What did you say?" Tam and Billy asked at the same time, overhearing.
"Er, nothing" Daphne answered, her eyes downcast. Elijah looked up in her eyes.
"I know what I heard, girl. Repeat that for me."
"I said Eye-lijah. It was a joke. Haha."
"Haha" Lij replied sarcastically.
"Dee thought it was funny" Daphne added with a wicked grin.
Elijah sniffed aggresively and went to search his lover to lecture her.
"She didnt really, did she?" Billy asked Daph.
"No."
"Aha. Youre a sneaky girl, you know that."
"I am aware of this illustruous fact, yes."
"You wouldnt tell, judging from your appearance."
"Thats what we try to achieve" Tam answered for Daphne. Billy merely shook his head.
On the other end of the balcony, Orlando had settled himself on the edge of the railing. He watched over to the scene with his friends, especially looking out for a certain red-haired girl. She, Tam and Billy seemed to be in conversation. He wondered what they were talking about. Daphne smiled radiantly at a remark of Billy.
"He always tells horrible jokes" he muttered under his breath.
"What?"
Orlando looked aside and found Dominic standing next to him, a drink in his hand.
"Nothing. I justoh never mind."
Dom frowned. "Wouldnt you get off there?" he asked. "Youd fall a long way down."
"If Id fall. I wont."
"You always say that."
Orlando raised his hands towards the sky. He better hadnt.
As soon as his hands let go of the railing, he felt he was slipping away. Oh God not again. Frantically, he tried to get a hold of something again.
"Orlando!" Doms scream echoed all over the balcony, and attracted everyones attention.
Just in time to see the two disappear over the edge
Two guys and four girls rushed into the LA hospital, almost running over people that clearly had been run over before. Elijah ran over to the information desk to sort out where Orlando and Dominic were.
"Thank you! Cmon, everybody!" he gestured towards the stairs and took the lead.
"Why the stairs!" Daphne and Tamara exclaimed at the same time.
"Oh shut up!" Dee gave the two a dark look.
When the six finally arrived at the fourth floor, they ran into a doctor.
"Can you tell me how, um, mister Monaghan and Bloom are doing?" Billy asked him.
"Yes, certainly. Who are you?"
"Friendsrelatives. They live with us."
"OhThats alright. Lets see." The doc looked at the clapboard he was holding. "Mr. Bloom has bruised some ribs and a light concussion. Hell be blue all over tomorrow, too. But you can take him home. Mr. Monaghanone broken rib, and a bruised knee and wrist. Not too bad for falling off a balcony, hey?" he said. "Ill be on my way. Bye."
"Thank you very much!"
Silently, and at a slower pace, they entered the room the doctor had pointed out.
"Lads!" Dees voice sounded relieved. When she had called an ambulance, she had feared the worst. She was glad they were alright.
"Orlando!" Daphne went over to his bed and pretended to hit him on the head. "Idiot. Do you know what could have happened." She smiled in spite of this to him and stroked his hand. He grabbed it immediately.
"Help me, guys! He wants to kill me!" He pointed at Dominic, who indeed looked kind of angry. And not the usual stuff, yknow.
"Oh no he doesnt" Billy said reassuring.
"Oh yes I do, Billy Boyd. Get out of my way. Im gonna throw him out of the window!"
Orli clinged at Daphnes hand. "See? You have to get me out of here. And it was your fault anyway, Monaghan!"
"My fault??!! Can I help it someone gave birth to the biggest idiot in the whole universe and surroundings!"
"Oh God" Jenny mumbled, putting a hand to her face. It were the first words she had uttered since she had left her room.
Elijah shook his head too. "Ill take you home, Dom. The girls will bring Orli?"
Dee nodded. "Yeah sure. Then the both of you can wait until youre healed to kill eachother, OK?"
Dumbfoundly, they agreed. After all, they had to get home.
Daphne walked next to Billy when they were on their way to the car.
"Does this happen often?" she whispered to him.
Billy shrugged. "We try to keep an average of twice a month." he replied.
Daphne nodded. "Aha" was the only thing she said.
