NON-BELIEF IS NOT A
"CHOICE"
A believer friend of mine mentioned that my being a Non-Believer was a
"Choice"
I had made.....and he wanted to know why I had made that choice.
So, I realized I had to explain something.
Non-belief has nothing to do with 'choosing', it has to do with REALIZING.
A Non-believer REALIZES there is no supreme being, heaven or hell.
The same may apply for a Believer.
A Non-Believer doesn't just wake up one day and say
"Hey, I've decided to choose to not believe in god!"
On the other hand, I know MANY Believers who HAVE chosen to believe simply
for the sake
of being "Better safe than sorry".
Now, think about that........
Better safe than sorry from what???
From going to hell.
In other words, they aren't truly convinced or believe there IS a god, but
they're terrified of
going to a hell, so they CHOOSE to believe just in case.
And that's a HUGE difference b/t some Believers and most
Non-Believers-
Believers do make a CHOICE.
Non-Believers come to a REALIZATION.
Now, if you're still not convinced, consider this......
Generally speaking, god is considered the all-knowing and all-loving being
who allows
the Believer's soul to live in heaven which is all-loving, beautiful, etc.
for eternity.
So I ask you, WHO in the world (aside from possibly Satanists) would
CHOOSE against that?????
Who in the world would CHOOSE against spending eternity in an all-loving,
all-beautiful place
filled with happiness?
NO ONE.
Especially when the alternative is an eternity of suffering and
damnation.
Non-Believers don't CHOOSE to be that way.
They REALIZE it.
They realize there is NO such thing as a god, heaven or hell, therefore there
is nothing
to CHOOSE
between.
