| Alternative Legal Services is an independent paralegal firm based in Mishawaka, Indiana. We understand that many inmates are not able to seek redress from the courts because they can not afford to hire an attorney and can not prepare the necessary legal documents themselves. Alternative Legal Services is therefore dedicated to providing competent legal servcies to assist prison and jail inmates with their legal endeavors. We are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice. We merely conduct legal research and prepare legal documents using the information provided to us to assist inmates with representing themselves in court. Because we understand the financial situations many inmates are faced with, Alternative Legal Services provides legal services to prisoners at a fraction of the cost traditionally charged by attorneys. Payment plans are available for prisoners not able to pay the entire fee at once.
